Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandOur balcony had a fence right next to it and while the view was obstructed anyway, there still were slots in the fence that allowed anyone on the other side to see inside the room. The breakfast is not worth the money - I'd recommend going to the nearest intersection (where the Wednesday market is) and buying some takeaway there. It's much tastier, and cheaper. In the bathroom, there are two hidden steps that are easy to miss - I hit my toe on one so hard it went black.
The location is great. It's away from where most tourists seem to go (20mins walk to the Landmark beach and 30mins to the main Ao Nang one), but right next to the best seafood restaurant in town and Wednesday night market, so we had most of what we needed right there. The rooms were clean and decent, and the staff very nice.

United KingdomThe location was a bit far out from the main part which we knew about before booking. However, we had to walk through some dark quiet streets and roads with no street lighting to get to the main area so we had to get taxis back. It was about 15 mins walk to the beach front and 25 mins walk to the centre point.
Good size rooms, friendly staff, clean and close to 7/11. Also provides laundry service too which we used and had no problems.

PortugalA bit far from the beach and town, but still walkable (about 15mins) to one of the night markets.
Staff is very nice, especially the gentleman at night and breakfast time. Nice breakfast! Nice big room and comfortable, with a balcony with table and chairs!

United KingdomOur room was on the ground floor with direct access to the parking area, not much privacy. This is a tiny minus, overall great value for money.
Room great size, shops next door, 2min from Wednesday market, good price for the bike, next to the busy road but you can't hear it, a lot of places with good food, amazing red snapper 10min walk, local prices, this is not a touristy spot. Great location if you want to explore the krabi, but you can still walk to ao nang beach. Fresh towels and water every day.

United KingdomBit of a walk from Ao Nang, however the property has bikes for rent. Room was not fully cleaned on arrival / check in, but the staff helped sort this out very quickly.
Really lovely front of house staff who helped us book our transport to Koh Lanta and were always friendly and helpful.

IndonesiaIf you didn't rent a scooter, it would be a bit far from the main drag.
The pool was great. Note for families with little kids, there is a kind of fenced in baby pool corner which would be great for littles who can't swim yet. The staff were lovely. We liked the location a little behind all the action but we definitely had rented scooters. There is a grocery store directly across the street. We appreciated the extra coffee packets in the room. The rooms were big and had cute little balconies.

United KingdomElectric shower low water pressure and spray too fine. TV useless as all Thai channels. Can’t plug in charger without switching off light above bed. A bit pricey considering it was a 29 minute walk to centre of Ao Nang. Pool too small to swim in, more of a paddling pool.
Good sized room, kettle/m + coffee/water x2 daily. Good firm bed, balcony, separate wash basin/mirror, wardrobe, desk, seat.

Czech RepublicThe staff is what stood out the most, all of them were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice and clean, and the pool was refreshing. The location is further from the main tourist areas, which means there are restaurants with reasonable prices in the neighborhood, but it could be a minus for some people if that doesn't suit their preferences.

NetherlandsNext to noisy road, which made the terrace of the room not a nice place to sit for us. The room is well isolated, so not much outside noise comes in.. The mosque is nearby and the speakers went off really loud early in the morning.
The staff is really sweet and welcoming us every time we entered the hotel. Nice to have a 24hr reception. The 7/11 and laundromat were around the corner of the hotel and to rent a motor bike was 2min walk. Which made it easy to go around ourselves

United KingdomWe woke up to mosque calls at 5am, although this was gentle prayer music and for a short time & expected in a highly muslim populated area. So not a major downfall, I'd definitely book here again. There was a cockroach in the bathroom but it went back into the wall. Staff would've been more than happy to help although wasnt necessary.
The room had everything you needed, the location is good if you dont mind a 30minute walk to the beach/au nang town. Its a nice walk through the local town. Desk open 24hours a day & staff are friendly. Pool is clean. The food around is great, people are friendly. And there's a local muslim night market which is cool to check out!
