Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandDisappointed with the near by beach around the bend, walking distance, full of detritus, plastic, bottles etc....., not sure of its name, Koh Kwang Beach?
The view, the resort nestled in the middle of trees, staff members very welcoming and the hotel facilities, breakfasts, restaurants and surrrounding areas, very nice, closed to nicer beaches 10/10

NetherlandsPool hours were somewhat limited (closed from 7pm if I recall), which was a pity since it was not possible to swim in the sea because of jellyfish (blown in from a storm). If you're getting buy one get one cocktails during happy hour, be aware you get two of the same cocktails immediately rather than choice of two, or different types (somehow we managed haha). Non-alcoholic cocktails oddly not included in happy hour.
Wonderful stay in this resort. Friendly staff and great facilities. View of the almost-private bay was amazing. So relaxing! The room was massive and beautifully decorated. Essential oil burner was a lovely touch. Spa was wonderful with talented staff. On-site restaurant was very good with unbeatable sunset views. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with good choice and staff happy to customize. Still dreaming of those plates of fresh fruit. We rented a motorbike from nearby--cheap and easy to explore further. Staff happy to help organize other tours.

Great getaway. Romantic beach, quiet but only 15 minutes drive from au nang beach if you like the noise there.. Wonderful resort.Pleasant and helpful staff. very good breakfast. If only the stream in the shower was a little bit stronger, it would have been a perfect 10. But all in all We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

SingaporeWe would have liked a ceiling fan in the bedroom as well as aircon, after rain with the windows open there was a nice breeze off the sea, but without the fan the air didn’t move and it quickly became sticky.
The hotel restaurant was very reasonably priced and had a good selection of both local and international. The food quality was excellent and reasonably priced. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a garden/ partial sea view. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days there.

MalaysiaThe breakfast was average. There are a lot of steps to reach the rooms and the sea, so if you are elderly or disabled, this may not be the best option for you.
The resort is situated in a quiet location in Klong Muang Beach, Krabi but with enough local shops and eateries around to enjoy great food. The coffee house and pool overlooks a small bay/backwater area of the sea where long-tail boats are parked/anchored for the night. Every morning when the tide rises, the sea stretches into the area. One of the loveliest seaviews I have had in a while. The rooms were large and oh so luxurious. We booked 2 Sala Lower Villas but one of our rooms was given a free upgrade to Sala Upper Villa with seaviews, so we had the whole villa both upstairs and downstairs to ourselves. I had 2 Thai massage sessions at the Spa and it was probably one of the best I have ever had. We rented a car and self-drove so we could reach many places conveniently. If Nakamanda is your choice of stay, I suggest that you consider renting a car/bike because the resort is about half an hour away from Krabi town, 20 mins away from Ao Nang and about 45 mins away from the airport. Lovely place to come 'home' to, away from the crowds and touristy areas in Ao Nang.

GermanyThere were not many entertainment options at the hotel (understandable since we were in the rainy season). We wanted to rent kayaks, but weren't allowed to because of low tide. This ruled out most of the day during our stay since the tide didn't come back in until 4pm - too late to go out. It would not have been a problem at all to carry the kayaks the 30M to the water during low tide.
Rooms were beautiful and the gardens surrounding everything made me feel like I was in a tropical paradise. Compliments to the gardeners! Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

United StatesLots of stairs which is aesthetically pleasing but can be difficult for older people or anyone with physical disabilities.
Location next to beach is spectacular. Access to local long tail boats is a hack so you don’t have to travel to piers to island hop.

United Arab EmiratesNeeds a little bit of money spent on it but that doesn’t take away from the charm.
A real gem! Rustic but very comfortable, good aircon, comfy bed and decent shower. Views to the ocean very special. Sits in its own bay so you feel as if you are on your own island. Great food and very good value. Staff genuinely friendly. Steps away from a long beach to walk and swim. Taxi, few shops directly behind hotel.

ThailandNothing, really. Note that the breakfast buffet, while good (great omelets), isn't necessarily Banyan Tree 5-star quality, but still quite enjoyable.
We got upgraded to one of the lower-floor sala rooms with a small outdoor pool/jacuzzi, and it was very, very nice; this is one of the nicer rooms we've stayed in Thailand over the years, across multiple 5-star hotels. Note that the hotel's 'upper' vs 'lower' sala rooms advertised just mean one is upstairs (and may/may not have a sea view), and the other is downstairs (and may/may not have a jacuzzi on one of its outdoor porches). Privacy is great; we came as a couple with our baby, but I'd equally have loved this as a solo traveler. The beach restaurant/bar on the beach is good with great views and lovely staff, and the dinner menu has fantastic Thai food. The main resort pool is a bit imposing but also lovely.

United StatesRooms are not new so expect to see some patches here and marks here and there. It’s normal but could’ve been fixed up better. Not really an issue, just an observation. The gym isn’t really usable.
Breakfast was pleasant with a variety of options ranging from Thai to western. Omelet station was also available. The pool was nice and clean. Beach is easily accessible. Our room had a great ocean view. Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were all amazing and wonderful. The spa service at the resort was also great.

ThailandWe had a few lunches and dinners at the restaurant which sits right on the beachfront. It's a pleasant place to have a meal and feel the breeze and watch the boats. The food was good but I wouldn't say it was exceptional. But some of the desserts were really great though. The wifi was okay most of the time, but occasionally was a little spotty.
Wonderful breakfast by the pool. Eggs and coffee to order with a variety of breads and fruits and hot dishes. There was quite a variety and it was well done. The staff were all great and very kind and helpful. The pool is pretty fabulous - the water was warm especially in the afternoon, but it was April when we were there so the air temp was hot so that's part of it I guess. The hotel is right on the beach, so it's easy to go for a walk or just watch the sunset. The room was well appointed and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. It's a beautiful location and a beautiful property. We'd enjoy going back again.
