Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaI struggled with the heat, not having air conditioning, it would have been ok to sit outside during the day but in wet season, the mosquitos are intense.
Mountain view was a great spot for some serenity, very quiet, surrounded by trees, close to the only beach you'll want to hang out at. Not far from mountain view as you head into town, there is the closed infinity bar, with homeless dogs living up the stairs that NEED YOUR HELP! A male and female dog that are so lovely when you get to know them, but are hopeless at surviving as there are no tourists at this end of town or food they can scavange. The male acts scared at first & is often in better condition than the small girl. Would you be so kind to visit and assist them with fresh water and food while youre on Koh Mook. I tried to home them and get them off the island but the rescues were over run. I was buying raw chicken mince 1 kg for 100 baht for them, and containers of cooked rice which id add steamed vegies and cans of tuna to for 100 baht. I left feed the dogs signs at the entrance & extended my stay on koh Mook to do so. PLEASE TAKE SOME TIME TO HELP THEM & LOVE ON THEM & Much love will be returned. A little will go a long way for the animals on this Island. They all look so sad & being eaten alive by ticks and fleas, let alone starving to death.

United KingdomWe really liked that the property was being eco friendly and repairing the bed linen instead of throwing it away, but there were quite a few holes! The room was also very hot so a second fan or a larger one would have been great.
We absolutely loved the location and spent our stay reading on the balcony in the morning and walked down to the beach (less than 5 mins) in the afternoons. Plenty of nice places to eat nearby. The staff were lovely and super helpful. We had breakfast here one day, it was very tasty but a bit too expensive for us to have again. Tea and coffee, fridge and kettle very much appreciated ☺️

GermanyThe mattress has seen better days. And the fan could have a better spot to hang up. And the stair steps, but you know this already when you book, so actually everything was almost wonderful.
Beautiful bungalows and well designed and equipped so you can enjoy your stay easily on the balcony and enjoy the nature around you or the nearby beach.

United KingdomNot a problem for us but be aware there are a lot of concrete steps up to the higher cabins. If you have mobility issues you may struggle.
Absolutely loved this place. Beautiful location for the cabins. Location is great. Close Charlie Beach (5 mins walk). A couple of places to eat locally. Plenty of songthiews around to get you to the pier side where most of the restaurants are. They have free filtered water from a cooler and lend really cool water flasks . Really pleased they are trying g to reduce single use plastic waste!

GermanyAbsolutely nothing to complain about!
Best accommodation we’ve had in Thailand! The bungalows are amazing, built by the owner himself with a lot of effort and in a natural wood style. Just a three minute walk from the beach. The bungalows are open, so you can enjoy fresh air and the sound of nature all night long, we loved it! It’s not noisy and there is no need for air conditioning due to the constant air circulation, so it’s really not getting warm at night. However, there is a fan in case you need it. The mosquito net around the bed has protected us very well at night and the mattress and pillows were soft, which has made it the most comfortable bed for us in Thailand. The view from the terrace is amazing and the owners are super friendly and chilled, they have even helped us to cook rice since we were feeding the stray dogs on the island - thank you very much again!

United StatesBetter bring bug spray, because the mozzies come out in force around sunset. But bear in mind that you are on a jungle island in the tropics. Other than that, no worries!
Location can't be beat, just up the hill from the beach. Staff were amazing and very friendly. Our manager Om even went spearfishing one day and we had an impromptu bbq right in the reception area! Rooms are fabulous, with terrific balconies looking out into the jungle.

South AfricaIt will be even better once they completed building the reception/restaurant area.
Your own tree house in a tropical jungle, 2 minute walk from Charlie Beach. Om and Tau are exceptional yet chilled hosts. No where will you find anyone more committed to ensure you have a good time. Scooter rental was arranged and delivered within minutes of our arrival. Om is quite the adventurer, he can take you jungle trekking and fishing.

United Kingdomnothing to dislike. the reception this year is still getting built, 80% complete, next season it will be amazing.
Wow. everything about this place was amazing , from the communications about how to get to mountain view all the way to us getting help to the airport. it’s a family run resort, personal detail every day. nothing was to much trouble. the bungalows are lovely, hand made and on the amazing rubber tree plantation surrounded by wildlife. there were hornbill birds, monkeys so many jungle noises. the owners took us on trips and around the island to show us the bars, it felt like we were family from the minute we arrived. the bungalows have hot water showers and amazing balcony’s and everything you need to have a relaxing stay. the two dogs that live there are sweet and always around to greet you. Om the owner recommended breakfast next door at nature hill which was lovely and mookie opposite which was also lovely , soon they will have breakfast and small bar but this year it’s still getting built I could write a million words but we will be back next year 100% thankyou for the best stay in Thailand

GermanyThe bungalow had some floor boards with gaps in between, hence geckos or insects could get through. Although not a main issue, still a bit unusual for us.
Bungalow in the middle of the jungle. Could check-in earlier. Nice staff. Close to Charley Beach with great view of sunset and starting point of kayak tours to diamond cave. Close by several good restaurants.

Czech RepublicUnfortunately nobody was in the resort and nobody pick up the phone. With the help from neighbors we finally reach them and it takes them almost 2hours to come and than to clean our rooms. It is very unprofessional to rent rooms, which are not ready and leave guests just wait.... Also in one of the room the shower did not work and in second one the water in the shower was very limited... :-(
The location is good, it gives an experience of night sounds from the jungle... :-)

United Kingdommaybe there was a Mountain View at one point, but my view was of the roof of a large building. kind of got in the way. the hotel is undergoing renovations- it wasn’t noisy but it did mean there was no restaurant, no drinks, breakfast , reception area etc. I ended up doing all of that In the place next door, which was similar but better. if I was going back, I would just stay there, as the rooms looked better too.
the rooms are lovely with big balconies, folding doors. just a short , pleasant walk to the beach
