Nice big spacious room, clean, access to the beach, nearby restaurants, supermarket and motorbike rental. Walking distance from the centre but very quiet at night for a good night of sleep. Manager and staff very friendly and helpful.

Wouldn't change a thing.

This is one of the few remaining small family run places among the growing up-market resorts, and we loved it! The staff were exceptional (the owner getting up early to make us a take-away breakfast on our last day), the guy on the beach moving the umbrellas around for us as the sun moved, their helpfulness in booking things for us. They couldn't do enough. We had a basic room (small) but it had an excellent bathroom, a/c and a little terrace. And out of four other places we stayed throughout Thailand, it was the cheapest and the only one to provide enough sun-loungers. Yey! Also had my best massage ever there. And we were glad to see the local people are still walking the beach selling their wares and cooking corn-on-the-cob - they seem to have been chased from other beaches on the island.

If y ooo u get a room close to street, it’s thumping loud. Lamai and Chaweng beaches are the same. Loads of people and jet skis. There is a lot more nicer beaches but depends on what type of vacation you’re looking for

As commented before, the facilities need some care. Specially the walkway in the resort. Lots of holes in it. I didn’t think much about it until on the last night (in the dark) I stumbled in one of the big holes in front of our bungalow while being 6 months pregnant. Twisted my leg, scratched and bruised the other and got some ugly whole on my hand. Not a happy way to end the island trip.

Good beachfront location with budget friendly cost(compared to next door resorts). Nearby lots of different restaurants and night markets.

The accommodation was absolutely fine. Very quiet and at the same time very close to all shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. The possibility of renting a scooter in the accommodation without any haggling like in other rental shops, where they look for any scratch to get money out of you. I can only recommend!!! Wifi works as it should. Thank you

Resort by the sea, the rooms were clean and tidy. Close to shops, restaurants, night market. Otherwise, the employees are friendly and hospitable.

Good value for the price. I payed 30 euros for 2 nights for a room with a fan. Rooms with AC are more expensive (25 euro/night) and I didn't think it was worth that much. The location is very pretty, green with plants and the staff is true to Thaï standards 🙏 Loved the experience, the room (big room with bathroom and fridge), away from the parties of other beaches.

It's just difficult with car parking space if you travel with a car. Resort can accommodate maximum 3 cars, but difficult to turn around, go in and go out. But if you without car it's perfect value for money. I would come back again.

Pillows - hard and high. La Mi Beach - was dirty and the sea was always unsettled , big waves prevent kids from swimming.

Great bungalows right on the beach - basic and simple, but clean and refreshed, and you have everything you need: king size bed, storey-bed, shower, hot water, air con, fridge, TV. The only thing what I was missing - hairdryer :) Resort has also own jet ski for rent and scooters. Restaurant serves good food Thai and European. Location - in the heart of Koh Samui. Very good. Street food market , massages , entertainment, shops - all in minutes walking Stuff and service - great and helpful

Initial booking was for 3 nights and room was of a good standard. Extended my stay for a further 2 nights but had to change for an older bungalow of a lower standard due to first room being unavailable. Moral of the comment - Check standard of room on arrival.

Some parts outside were a bit run down, however, there was a lot of construction going on, so maybe that was just because it was preseason.

The location is very nice, right at the beach and well located in the centre of lamai. Also the villa was very well maintained inside. Cleaning everyday

Infrequency of room service. WiFi dodgy. Overall, though pretty good for a 'Two' star hotel given where it's situated.

Price/location ratio measures up. Integration with surrounding businesses/services e g.massage services, eateries, transport. 'American breakfast' is OK Proximity to beach (right on it), Genuinely helpful and inviting owner/staff. Very welcoming.

Location was perfect - in the thick of all the action, the bungalows were quiet, cozy and private along a gardened pathway. Staff were great.

The owner Goi - went out of her way to make us comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Having been in the beachfront bungalow scene for 3 decades, she brings the wonderful old world charm and grace of the early years.

I liked EVERYTHING !!! The deluxe bungalow was very big , with its own little terrace , extremely clean , perfect air conditioning , clean towels and sheets every day! It is a family run business and Koi (I hope I have spelt her name Correctly) the owner is probably the most lovely person I have ever met not only here in Thailand but ever! Nothing is too much trouble for her and you ask for one thing and in minutes it is done . She always has a smile and that beautiful energy from her spreads all over Magic Resort! She gives service like a 5* hotel. I have no idea why Magic resort has a low star rating when it deserves so much more.. especially after seeing so many hotels travelling all around Thailand I extended my stay there and am planning to go and stay there for a month in April . The location is literally on the beach and near to the Main Street in Lamai and the night market. It is very very relaxed no rules , you can go out to eat (2 mins from awesome restaurants) or just bring a take away back to the bungalow. The room has a large fridge too … honestly whoever is reading this , I cannot express enough here how awesome Magic Resort is and the incredible , wonderful Koi. All age groups there and i didn’t hear one compliant ! I am a 58 year old woman and in my career travelled all over the world and stayed in so many hotels mostly 5* … here in Koh Samui I would choose Magic Resort over any soulless big hotel. Thank you Magic Resort and Koi for the wonderful experience and I will see you in April .. lots of love Suzi from number 7
