Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe staff at the restaurant wasn't as brilliant as the lobby/reception, one particular young man wouldn't care any less about the guests. A huge storm catch us in the middle of dinner and although we urged him to close the pool umbrellas before the strong winds caused an accident, he didn't even blink or move, and we watched when a gust of wind broke an umbrella in half and other two flew with the wind.
The hotel was quiet, nice setting. Comfortable rooms, although with some odd distribution. We wish could have been planned better as to be able to enjoy it more to read books and relax. Restaurant food was ok, nothing out of the extraordinary. The check in was superb, the young man English was superb, so kind and helpful! Great pool, if you can, get the rooms facing the pool. Nice short walk around the property with a waterfall at the back.

SpainKitchen is in another floor and there is no air conditioning there so it is a bit hard to cook or have any lunch/dinner there, it was really hot! During breakfast, if you want good coffee you have to pay extra (just instant coffee is included). I think at least one coffee should be included in the price, it would nice for guests. Something we really DONT LIKE was they do not allow you to take towels outside if you go out to the beach or trip. Normally, people do not travel with towels in the luggage as all hotels near the beach offer you that service and they insisted a lot on this. We went on a trip and we had to buy some towels near the port. We really did not understand...
Our second night, we booked a villa just for 2 people. Room was very clean and comfortable, enough space for 2. Swimming pool was really large (one of the largest we see during out trip) and food at the restaurant was good and tasty, no expensive at all. Breakfast was very nice.

We booked one villa with 2 rooms and it was very big, we had a problem with the door (we cannot close it when we left) and workers tried to help us very quick. Although finally they could not fix it, the security man was near there to ensure our belongings were safe. Swimming pool is the largest we had during our Thailand trip. You can order some food in the restaurant and take it there, very close to the swimming pool. The breakfast was really good, you choose one of the option they offer you but very tasty.

NetherlandsIT is a little bit far from everything so you need to count on taking a taxi ride most of the time. The breakfast was not great.
It is clean and comfortable. The pool is nice. Overall we had a very nice time, and we will return! The hotel is away from the main road which makes it quiet. The room we had, also had a small kitchen.

TaiwanIt is definitely an area you want to drive/use a lot of taxi's. Grab is not always reliable in this area, however, the hotel have an excellent driver who took us everywhere! There is not a lot of nightlife in the area. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway, with a gorgeous pool, and lots of massage parlours around, it is great, with Ao Nang a 20min drive away.
Excellent value for money. The villas are great, a good size. TBH we didn't really utilise the downstairs, but we saw many other couples who did. The food from the restaurant was very good, the avocado toast was really lovely, as was the pizza! Staff were very helpful. Location was quiet. I would happily return here.

GermanyThe hotel is very good, but we didn't like it's location so much. We've been there at August and the beach was very dirty with a lot of plastic garbage. But the hotel offers a lot of flyers with activities and transfers to nicer spots.
Very nice small resort. Quiet and perfect to relax with good equipment into the houses (I could even iron my clothes). The staff at the reception is very kind and supportive. They speak very good English.

Amidst the jungle, the Loy Challet is a new hotel in the Krabi area. The resort like expanse offers private units with exterior baths on the deck. The swimming pool is close by. No fancy facilities, but the unit is tremendously comfortable and romantic, and indeed answers to prestigious standards.

United StatesI did not really like the location of the property bc it wasn’t as close to the beach as I would like and the fastest walk to the beach doesn’t have much light down that street and that part of the beach isn’t all that nice you have to walk to the north side of the beach to see the nicer area which is kind of a lot of walking. It was also harder for me to get transportation but that might be my fault so I mostly walked.
I liked the vibes on the property it is beautiful and relaxing I would recommend for couples going on a bae cation. It is surrounded by nature you look out the window nature you can go on a walk in the back through the nature take cute pictures and there’s a little water stream so cute. The staff were also very nice.

SingaporeThe Thai food wasn’t great and was pretty limited. Not sure why orders for this had to be made by 8pm but the rest of the menu available til later. Also disappointing coffee option at breakfast - free Gold Blend or pay for cappuccino. Odd and unnecessary!
Really lovely chalets and the outdoor bath was a nice addition, albeit quite ‘open’ Room was well-equipped and bed pretty comfortable

United KingdomThe shower in Chalet 13 was my only gripe too hot, then too cold
If you like quiet and being away from it all, this is the place. Only 19 chalets set in amongst the trees and it has a little waterfall of its own. Staff are very friendly. You are just a short taxi ride to Ao Nang if you want a busy night and taxis are very cheap. We used grab you know what you will be paying before getting in the taxi.

AustraliaUnless you want to shop there’s not much around however it’s only about a ten/fifteen min taxi ride into Krabi Town or Ao Nang and reception staff can order taxi for you! Otherwise nothing to fault it was 10/10.
A hidden gem surrounded by lush green tropical plants a perfect spot to sit back relax and enjoy the serenity! The breakfast choice was fab, bar open til late and the balcony bath a little added luxurious treat 😀 We loved our walk to the beach no more than ten mins and the beach was very quiet. Staff were all lovely thank you for a beautiful stay (ps itwas my husbands 50th and prior to arrival I asked if we could decorate the room, that was no problem and it looked great) 😊

United KingdomNothing to dislike
I recently had the pleasure of staying at , Loy Chalet and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The resorts location is simply unbeatable, nestled in a picturesque setting that offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. It provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, yet it was conveniently close to local attractions and amenities. The villa itself was nothing short of spectacular. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the elegant design and luxurious furnishings. The spacious rooms were meticulously clean and well-maintained, with every comfort thoughtfully provided. The private terrace and pool were highlights, offering a tranquil spot to relax and soak up the sun while enjoying the stunning scenery. What truly set Loy Chalet apart, however, was the exceptional staff. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. They were attentive without being intrusive, always ready to assist with a smile and a genuine desire to make my experience as enjoyable as possible. The culinary offerings at the hotel were equally impressive. The on-site restaurant served a variety of delicious dishes, each prepared with fresh, local ingredients. The breakfasts were a particular delight, with a wide selection of options that catered to every palate. Dining on the terrace, with the sun rising over the horizon, was a daily highlight. In addition to the beautiful accommodations and outstanding service, the hotel offered a range of activities and amenities that enhanced my stay. From the relaxing spa treatments to the well-equipped fitness center and the array of water sports available, there was never a dull moment. Each day was filled with opportunities for both adventure and relaxation. Overall, my stay at the Loy Chalet was nothing short of amazing.

United StatesMore diverse menu. This is minor. There were options for Thai food, Italian, and something else (can't remember), but only could order Italian food basically. There were great places to eat nearby, but would be nice to see stronger dinner options. Breakfast was great! Thank you for all the oat milk lattes, friendly staff :)
We LOVED our room at the Loy Chalet. This was the nicest room we decided to book during our travels in Thailand, and it was worth the "splurge"! The room was spacious, clean, and cozy. The private tub was a romantic touch. I enjoyed exploring by day, and spending time in our cozy bungalow at night. The pool was refreshing too, especially being in the middle of Summer, last month!
