Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaA minor drawback was that the restaurant staff's English proficiency was limited, so we recommend ordering local food for a smoother experience.
This place is a real gem, offering exceptional value. Everything was outstanding – from the comfortable bed and the room's design to the relaxed atmosphere and facilities. We particularly enjoyed the complimentary kayak ride. The territory was calm, and the natural beauty was breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

LithuaniaWe did the prior research, so it was not a problem at all, but the resort is quite far from the touristy parts of Ao Nang and from the beach, around 20-30 mins on scooter. We rented a motorbike before coming and enjoyed the nature + comfort combo. The hotel is very stylish, but not for luxury lovers or perfectionists, I'd say. I personally loved the design and the idea, even though the old traditional furniture in the villas was not practical at all. Some parts of the outdoor furniture and terrasses were really in bad shape, but it was being replaced during our second stay. I found it very charming overall, not a typical hotel like there are thousands around the world.
The special atmosphere, the quite particular interior design that gives the whole place a character. Lush greenery, beautiful river with free kayaks, beautiful pool, fish in the canals you can feed, fish in the completely transparent river Boutique hotel atmosphere with not too many rooms and vast territory, many cosy places to sit or lay down with a book. Lots of shade to protect from the sun Friendly staff, very good Western type cakes The beds were super confy, aircon just fine, showers/wc functioning well. We stayed a week right after arrival and came back for a few days before the flight home. It was the highlight of our one month stay in terms of accommodation. We tried two villas and a minitel (regular room, quite small), all were comfortable. The villas are just grand, very good quality/price ratio, I recommend!

NorwayWe asked for a quiet room however on Minitel the other room was connected with us through locked door which is not properly insulated for noice. We heard our neighbours talking and having a great night experience which we wish we wouldn’t have to be a part of by the sound.
It was a beautiful place away from town and tourists. We enjoyed it a lot. Free kayak, nice pool, free yoga mats or bikes, 5min away from a new and beautiful elephant sanctuary.

MalaysiaThere should be more activities and infact a minimart very nearby or at the venue itself. We got the family room when we arrived. It was a beautiful room but for 4 of us adults there is only one toilet n one shower. That was difficult. The 2nd day they move us to 2 minitels, and we had our own bathroom which is better.
The staff were so friendly especially Yah. She helped us a lot in getting halal food, transport, problems with the rooms etc. If you like natire , this is a beautiful place to stay in.

IndiaNothing much to say, everything was really good. Our room wasn't cleaned properly on day one, but it was rectified 2-3 hours after check-in, as we were waiting on the cleaning staff to arrive. Other minor things would be that there were some non removable stains on table tops/bathroom slabs, and the door locks weren't perfectly fitted, so they wouldn't lock. Also it seems one of the guests ended up smoking in the bathroom, so much so that we could smell the smoke through the drains of our room.
Let me preface by saying that we like quiet places, and we like renting cars/bikes. So Blu Monkey Pooltara being far from the hubbub of Ao Nang and surrounded by beautiful Karsts and greenery was the perfect accommodation to begin our Krabi trip. The beds are super comfy, the bathroom is adequately large, the balcony is spacious with stunning views (we could see sunrise from our room). The facilities like free bicycle, kayak and the natural pool were also a big plus. We felt so content swimming around in the natural pool that we didn't feel the need to visit parks with similar cleaner/better emerald pools. The swimming pool is also appropriately sized. They also had good parking space for our car, and there is a seven eleven 5 mins away, and a lot of tourist attractions are also nearby (we loved Khao Khom Dam, Thapom Klong Song Nam and Kuan Nom Saow View point).

It was so beautiful! Exactly like in the pictures and a perfect mix between comfortable hotel and jungle/nature. It is a bit far but there is a lovely little authentic village 2km from the hotel. You can rent a scooter and have it delivered to the hotel, or use their bicycles for free. I miss this place already!

LithuaniaOutside furniture, river terases look old and not taken care of. I was however not shocked, seems like there is a different standard here in Thailand. Perfectionism? Never heard of 😅 So if you don't mind these things, a great place to stay in the nature & with all the modern comfort
The atmosphere: jungle sounds, river, stylish interiors and exteriors. Free kayaks for an adventure at any time of the day. The surroundings are so beautiful! Pool is so nice, not crowded. Very good cakes at the café. Food not expensive, delivered to the room if you ask to. Personnel very friendly and willing to help. We stayed in minitel and then in a villa, liked both. Of course villas are times bigger than rooms. Already booked it for second stay!
