Kuhn Yo and Kuhn Daeng are great hosts and their friendly staff are hardworking and attentive. We swam, beachcombed, paddled, walked the beach, and went on little trips to the pier or Baan Koh Po. The rhythm of the tides changes the whole experience of the shoreline, and the surrounding forest is full of macaques.

The food for the evening meal could have been better, it was a little bit bland – there is such good food in Thailand that you notice when food doesn't hit the level you've got used to.

The location was great – the room being up high meant you got a lovely breeze. It was really good that there were two fans in the room, you could control air movement to make sleeping easy. There was no air-con which I liked cos it isn't necessary in a bedroom if you have enough silent fans. The breakfast was fine

I was pleasantly surprised by our stay at Kohjum Resort. My expectations were not very high after traveling around Thailand in more touristy areas. This was absolutely perfect! It was like stepping back in time. Quiet beach with no one around. We would see maximum 6 people on the whole stretch of beach at one time. Most were the same people we saw every day. Simple, but well built and maintained room. Super comfy. I had more than one nap on the balcony in the hammock. The 2 story room felt like a tree house. It was amazing to wake up to the sound of the ocean, rustling of the leaves and to watch the monkeys play in the trees all from our balcony. Food was fantastic. Nothing fancy, just well done, home cooked meals. I appreciated that they didn't turn down the flavor to appeal to western palettes, as I found in more developed tourist areas. The beauty of the island is that there is not much to do or places to go which makes it easy to sit back relax and enjoy simple life. This is a very special place, with very kind people, one I can't wait to return to.

The only thing to improve is the wifi. We didn't care much because our mobiles kept us linked, but it would have been impossible, for example, to work had we been "digital nomads." This should be an easy technical fix once the high season calms down.

I can only rejoin the comments of previous travellers with very little to add. These are really nice wooden bungalows right in front of a kind of "private" beach, where you'll probably spend time both having breakfast and delicious dinner on the sand a few meters away from the water. A couple of steps to the north you can enjoy the wide expanse of TIng Rai beach, if you prefer. Of course many other cool beaches with different vibes can be easily reached by renting a scooter or tuktuk, everything will be taken of care for you at the resort. In all of them you can enjoy great sunsets with a drink immersed in a relaxed atmosphere. Great stay, sadly we could only extend one more day to a total of 4, it was hard to leave!

Beautiful wooden bungalows on a nice private beach. Very friendly and peaceful atmosphere. Taeng and all her staff were very nice and helpful. She organised our transfers from Ao Nang and to Koh Lanta and gave lots of advice about the island. The food was absolutely delicious. Thanks Taeng for everything!

I liked it a lot. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location is beautiful and very peaceful, the food was tasty and freshly made. The cabins are simple but comfortable, and they bring you at tree level for a lovely and sheltered view of the beach just below. It is closed to the popular spots on Phi Phi for a day trip, and we were happy to head back to Koh Jum after this busy day. I would go again.

Very nice location on the beach. Very friendly staff; they also helped with transportation to the airport. Perfect place if you love a quiet place in the middle of the jungle and next to the beach. Best mosquito net in our entire trip!

We were lucky with the weather. If it is raining you can do not too many things: reading, Muay Thai training (this island has a very good Muay Thai trainer ), eating, play cards,…

The location is very beautiful. Even if you have to climb a little up and down to get there … it is totally worth. The sea in front of you! Sand, rocks… view! I think Thai people are in general friendly, but here the owner and staff are extremely friendly, supportive and warm!! They cooked delicious for us. We felt so welcome. Thank you so much for the great time.

I liked it all! This place is awesome and perfect if you're looking for a quiet place and sleep with the sounds of the ocean waves and the jungle in the background. The resort is located on a cliff side far away from the road so it's nice and quiet. The owner, Taeng, is super lovely and helpful as are all staff members. And they're all great cooks and flexible so great food all day and every day. The restaurant overlooks the sea and in the low season you sometimes get to enjoy the beach all by yourself (which is what I wanted). The bungalows are spacious and very comfortable. Showers can be warm if needed, but a cold shower is usually preferred. Because I stayed a long time, Taeng gave me a good price for bike rental. Hiring a bike is nice as it get's you to place more easily although there is no real need to leave this wonderful place. The beach is sandy, but there are some large rocks in the surf. It didn't bother me at all though. Overall I highly recommend Koh Jum Seafront Resort with a special mention of the entire staff. They were amazing, friendly, funny and as mentioned very service oriented and great cooks!

The bungalows don’t have aircondition

Excellent location, very kids friendly, the staff was very kind and service minded- they made porridge and soft vegatables for our baby upon request. The bungalows overlook the sea and the monkeys play in the trees and on the beach (or on the terrace if you forget food there!) Our little daughter enjoyed everything about it!
