Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe resort does need some money spending on it, it is a little “rustic” in places. For the price we paid though we were happy and found it charming.
The location is awesome, really peaceful, right on the beach. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they did everything to make our stay comfortable. Our room was upgraded and they offered a free taxi back to the pier. We had very spacious rooms with good air-con. The food was good and not over-priced given there aren’t any other eating options.

SingaporeNothing like that… we enjoyed the stay. Only issue people may think is the you will not be able to go around the place without a car. So you have to book a car in advance.
The rooms built on the slopes of mountain, facing the sea was really beautiful. I went with my family and stayed for 4 days and it was very comfortable.

SpainWe missed more light in the room and bathroom and also some area with confortable furniture just for resting outside the room.
The place is amazing, you are in the middle of the nature, the beach is a few steps from the resort. Our bedroom was so big. If you like wild nature this your place!! They have motorbike rental if you wanna go around, we preferred walking and it didn’t take so long. The food just AMAZING!! Best watermelon shake ever!!! Not bad price to be a resort! All the staff is incredible friendly, helpful and kind, always smiling and very worried about you. They also offer us a free taxi to go to the ferry station when we were leaving!!

MaltaThe entrance and pathways are natural and steep sometimes. Looks great but might be a struggle for older people.
Great place for tranquility on a sandy beach and pristine forest. The selected room was excellent. The restaurant was nothing special but good enough. It's a remote location great for enjoying nature at its best. Not much happening outside the hotel so might not be for people looking for night life.

The setting of this property is amazing, set on a secluded beach with the most amazing views. The food here is some of the best we had in Thailand and getting to enjoy it on the beach watching the sun setting was spectacular.

United KingdomNothing really - there were a few large ants and millipedes in the bathroom at night - but that's just being in nature in Thailand - no problem really.
Individual bungalows set in a hillside surrounded by lovely gardens. Breakfast is included. Dinner is served on the beach and the staff give you insect repellent if the mozzies are about. The beach is lovely.

CanadaOnly instant coffee, no espresso machine. Would prefer if you got a total after each meal (& the special dinners weren't priced); difficult to keep track of your total for the end of your stay.
Loved that dinner was set up on the beach every night. Wonderful beach that the resort is right on, gorgeous views & sunsets.

United KingdomObvious lack of investment. Poor bathroom with a very difficult floor to walk on, broken shower over an ancient bath. Toiletries were. minimal…2 shower caps and old dispensers of shower cream and shampoo. No basin soap, no hand towels and towels not changed in the 4 days we were there. The steps were uneven, cobbled and would be no good for anyone with a slight mobility problem
It’s situation, away from crowds

United KingdomGiven the price we paid - £100 GBP per night - the facilities are poor. The room was spacious but very basic, the bathroom was one of the worst we encountered in Thailand with a simple shower head into a bath, you couldn't have a shower standing up and there is no shower screen. As others have noted the breakfast is poor and very repetitive, just Nescafe coffee granules etc. The place is clearly in need of investment and modernisation, but there's an absentee owner who lives in Bangkok and seems to be happy just to take the money. The staff were lovely but there are better places to stay. Also the accommodate is 1km down a rutted track which takes Tuesday can't negotiate. Unless you can drive a motorbike or are happy to pay for taxis everywhere you will be absolutely stuck.
The staff (particularly the manager Ko) were wonderful, couldn't do enough to help. The proximity to the beach is great and there are other places close by to go to for a change of scene.

United KingdomThe breakfast was a bit disappointing. No real coffee, limited fruit selection and the hot plates were not heated so the food in them was cold. They did have an egg station for freshly made omelette though.
The hotel is located in wonderful tropical gardens. The room and bathroom were huge with a stunning views of the sea and wonderful sunsets all of which you can enjoy from your balcony The rooms all have a small fridge. Handy for water and nibbles. The pool is small but great for dipping in and admiring the view from. The beach is deserted.I The staff were lovely and we were able to rent scooters although be aware the road to the hotel becomes a bit rough ! A really quiet and beautiful place to stay. Don't come to party or for night life. Koh Jum is a very quiet undeveloped island. A wonderful place.

SwitzerlandThe sound of climatisation of other bungalows. The music playlist of restaurant wasn’t varied enough.
This was exactly what I was looking for! Remote location yet with all the comfort (fridge, wifi, hot water…). The closeness to the beach, the linens, cushions and bed so comfy, the staff vers helpful and friendly. The pool for the day the see was too rough. The jungle feeling and view from bungalow. The quietness and the good breakfast. Feels authentic and very realaxing.

FranceNothing to say
Our bungalow had two stylish en-suite bedrooms with an interconnecting door; the view from our private balcony across the sea to Koh Phi Phi was breathtaking, especially at sunset. We loved splashing around in the pool as a fun alternative to the sea, and walking along the beach looking out for hermit crabs and monkeys. Many thanks to Mr Ko and his wonderful staff for making our stay so comfortable.
