The private beach part is a bit rocky, so had to walk in, especially for young children. And the sand is less fine compared to the southern part of the beach. However it’s so easily to walk down to get finer sandy beach. There are a bit mosquitos on site, recommend to bring repellents and maybe hotel can do something more to it. The room tidy up is amazing, we leave a huge mass everyday with the baby throwing everything on a the ground. But cleaning can be improved, such as wiping all the surfaces. And coffee supplies wasn’t consistent.

It’s perfect for all kinds of family. We traveled with a young baby, 1 yr old, all the facilities are so close to each other. There is a pool under every single building, gym is literally opposite to kids club, and the kids club is so amazing, absolutely the highlight of our stay. It’s super modern, full of thoughtful toys and activities. The staff are super attentive, always ensure kids safety first and they try their best to provide thoughtful engagement with all the kids. Love the restaurant as well. We tried many other local restaurants, they are indeed cheaper but the hotel’s got the best quality food. A big thanks to all the staff they were super personal, helpful and super friendly to all of us and our baby. We had a wonderful time! Will definitely come back again if we are back in samui again. Wait, did I mention about the breakfast?! It was amazing! Both varieties and qualities are top notch!

The location is so so .. not great to walk around but within easy reach of Chaweng and Fisherman's market by cab

Beautiful hotel. a little smaller than expected but the essential rooms are massive, it's very new and gorgeous. The breakfast was excellent and we tried two of the restaurants and they were great.

The lack of communication around experiences and services available. I also felt the nightlife was lacking and really think the layout should have been thought through a little more. There was an evening bar but no one in there, it could have done with a movie night or cocktail making lessons or a date night plan. We were also told that our room was private but could be seen from other rooms. Overall the place is beautiful and i would stay again with learnings. Ie: Utilise half price massages, i would not order room service and I would head out a bit more to visit other locations. The hotel did not provide a tour or transport and i think that is a mistake.

Something needs to be done about the water in the pool as it is extremely dirty, especially around the sides. The breakfast personel is clearly understaffed and they can't cope with unloading, placing and taking orders. They are extremely helpful but the number of tourists actually overwhelms them. The beach is nice but could be nicer landscaped to make it more friendly, like the one at the Samui hotel. Restaurant menus could be a little more complex, offering more varied dishes.

The hotel was a very pleasant experience for our family. As a family of 5, coming in after a long and exhausting flight, we were offered a room to relax in until our rooms were ready for check-in. The front desk and breakfast staff extremely helpful, as were the kids club staff. I highly recommend Gift from the spa, the treatments are exceptional.

The reason I didn’t give a ten is that on our first day my son took a paddle board (sap) from the hotel, fell from if on the rocks and had to have stitches and no water activity for the rest of our vacation… this kind of beach is not fit for this activity or at least people should be warned as for the risk

Breakfast is good - although service is slow. The Thai food on offer in the casual restaurant is decent but could vary more as it is the same all and very day. The fine dining restaurant is uninteresting and overpriced. On balance, disappointing food that doesn’t live up to the staff and facilities at all.

The AC in the room was a little weak, that would be the only complaint.

The pool access room was very comfortable. Easily able to spend a day in the room, swimming and laying on the sun bed! Good local restaurants in walking distance from hotel. Night markets a short drive away.

The pool wasn't very clean. The music in the pool area made it feel like a beach club so wasn't as relaxing as it could have been.

We enjoyed our stay at The Kimpton. Family friendly hotel with a brilliant kid's club. Lovely room - great size and layout. Nice breakfast.

I wasn’t happy we had to wait for our room to be ready way after 3pm not enough sun beds for the number of people there, sadly too many families with kids there for us who are selfish and take all the sunbeds all day only to use them for a couple hours, staff did not remove there stuff after 30 mins even though it says they will. was a shame our pool access room lost sun early afternoon and there was no where to sunbathe except in the pool.

the grounds are beautiful, excellent location for the beach, rooms are lovely as well. cleaning staff excellent although some days it took for ever for them to get round to our room.

We had a mishap at the hotel in the parking lot but the hotel took care of it. The coffee and matcha didn’t taste so good. And the yoga class was at 7 am , early for jet lag people.

Only 6 beds around the pool that are not in the water so you have to be early to get one! The food and drink are too expensive and mark-up is huge versus what you can get outside! A standard $10USD bottle of wine is $50USD
