Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI didn’t like the two single beds joined together to make a double. Nobody likes the crease in the middle of the bed. Its very uncomfortable. I didn’t like the stiffness of the mattress, it actually caused several sore areas on my body including my tailbone area this was already sore from a very long 30 hour flight. I didnt like the lack of a bathrobe. I really expected that in what bookings.com said was a 5 star hotel. I also didnt like being originally placed in a room with a view different to what i saw and booked for. I went down the next morning and asked to be moved to the room I intentionally booked for a beautiful view. I was moved without a problem and was told the double bed had not been arranged yet hence my misplacement. Not good enough. I didn’t like the lack of proactive help from the hotel staff to assist with local attractions and things to do. The location seemed to be very boring with not many restaurants or bars within walking distance.
I loved the aesthetics, the choice of furniture and decor. I loved the way the rooms were arranged. The ac was great. The tv was a lovely smart modern TLC brand tv of a very respectable size. I loved the fridge and supply of fresh bottled own brand water. The supply of towels was lovely. The bedding was brilliantly cosy and a nice heavy thrradcount. I really liked that the images in Bookings.com were actually all recent images and very highly accurate to what i saw and experienced in real life. That was very satisfying. I was anxious perhaps the images were old and now the hotel would be dilapidated.

BelgiumI liked the property but I left with the feeling that I was a tourist having to pay for everything ( which is normal), but this was more like in an attraction park. The property is not a walking distance from the town and therefore they organize 3 times a day a transfer to the town. Other transfers should be paid. Last transfer is at 18h but return is at 18.30 ( in practice you have 15 min before the free trip back). This means that if you decide to stay in town and have dinner there, you will need to pay to get back. And after 8 pm. It is more expensive. We decided to take the free transportation at 18h ( transport left 15 min later). We arrived to town at 18.30 ( time to go back for free). We could not go back because we still needed to find an ATM as the hotel did not accept credit cards. Given the fact that you have no other option than to buy everything in the hotel ( breakfast, dinner, drinks, all trips, transportation) you need to be prepared to have a lot of cash with you.
Nice setting to get connected with nature. Since the property is difficult to reach the staff was very helpful giving instructions on how to contact them to be picked up. They also organize all activities.

United KingdomWe didn’t spend enough time there!
Beautiful and authentic property. They really have thought about everything we need during our stay. They have a shuttle that takes you into the little village 10 minutes away 4x per day for free, they have a myriad of activities available (including river tubing canoeing, night safari, cooking classes, hikes etc). they have a restaurant open from around 7.30 until around 10pm with lots of options available. They have lots of books and board games available if you’d like. I have seen a few comments about animals and insects, but you’re deep in the jungle and it is serene and beautiful, its nature in its entirety so what do you expect. I recommend wearing lots of sun protection and some mosquito protection. I cannot recommend this accommodation enough. One thing to note is that it is in the jungle next to the Khao Sok national park, so as you can imagine it’s not easy to get to - it does take appx 1.5 hours to get there from surat Thani airport (and I believe about 2 hours from Phuket?) but they offer a coach to bring and take you. Truly spectacular scenery!

IrelandThe location was amazing, you felt right in the middle of the jungle. The common area is right on the river and you can just watch nature. The staff will organise trip to the national park for you. We opted for the full day trip and we got picked up and had a tour guide bring the two of us around. We saw monkeys and were introduced to different flora. We stopped for lunch by a beautiful river spot and had a swim. Most amazing experience.

United KingdomIt was all good. The lake tour guides weren’t great though. They just ferries us from van to boat to van without explaining anything about our surroundings. We stopped for a local market visit and we just taken out of the van in front of a 7/11 and told we had 10 minutes to get snacks. Again no explanation about best local food like you might expect. THE COOKING COURSE however was wonderful!!! Can highly recommend it! A real cultural experience and the guy leading it is great! So glad we did it!
Lovely jungle getaway. Felt more authentic then staying at a hotel. The surroundings are lush!
