I was embarrassed about breakfast. A tour I went on left early and we were told to ask our hotel for a breakfast box. Everyone had a box or bag with nice food and fruits. I had a ham sandwich on a plate wrapped in plastic.

The view from room 201 is fabulous and the hotel is central to all things at the Kamala Beach. The ladies who clean the rooms do a great job and are very friendly. The pool is clean and has ample loungers around it.

Nothing luxurious about the property except sea views and beach access.

It was nice and tidy place with front side opening in busy market and back side on beach. Good place if you are looking for budget stay with stunning sea views.

The breakfast was extremely unimaginative with the total absence of vegetables and greens. The bed in our room was very sensitive - if one person makes a slight movement, the other is forced to jump up.

The location is superb right in the heart of Kamala with loads of restaurants and all kinds of shops just two steps away. We stayed in a room with a sea view and a very big terrace with beach beds where, if needed, you can hang out all day long enjoying the breeze and the scenery. Want to say thank you to the owner and the staff for taking such good care of this place and keeping it so neat and clean.

Great little hotel on the beachfront. Within transfer radius of most excursions which is great too. Room was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast - they have 4 options to choose every morning (fruit plate + 1. Pancake, 2. Egg+toast, 3. Mueslli, 4.) There is a young boy who does not speak english and it is hard to comunicate when he is alone - he alwaYs sends someone who speaks english.

Location is super-on the main street, but you can hear cars/motors in the room. Spacious room with terrace and access to pool. Roomservice ladies are very kind and do their work perfect. They have restaurant on beachfront and one located on main steet side.

The breakfast was very disappointing. Meagre and have never been asked to pay for water at breakfast before.

The hotel was right on the beach. The food in the hotel restaurant adjoining the beach was excellent. Great food and staff, good value. Room kitchenette was spacious, overlooking the pool and the beach.

Working points for Kamala Dreams : although generally we had a wonderful time : if your room doesn't have pool access (the first floor, though for me the better rooms), you have to walk through the restaurant in the back to get access to the pool. Not comfortable for some people... Also the table clothes should been checked if a customer leaves the table; not nice to start your meal on a dirty cloth... The atmosphere on the island was what gave me the most mixed feelings : invaded by Russians (the second most heard language on the island now...) and the way the locals mostly try to squeeze every baht out of your pocket... Doesn't feel like Thailand anymore. If you want transportation, don't ask for a taxi (no meters here on the island although obligated by Thai law!!), install the Bolt app and be prepared for 2 drivers to refuse to transport you for the price in the app, a third will probably do it, the only way to get around the island reasonably (apart from renting a motorbike which is highly recommended too!). Don't put your credit card in the app since you might have to cancel the driver if he refuses to transport you (he should then cancel but he doesn't and want you to pay the cancellation fees....). You can always pay te driver cash! Right across the street to the right of Kamala Dreams, you have a booth for trips. If you want a boat trip; the John Gray trips are great. And apart from the restaurant from Kamala Dreams, you've got down the road to the left 'Loves Rain' (on a first floor) which is good and reasonably priced for the island. But fair is fair : Phuket is a wonderful place, so get your but off the beach and also explore the island! A very nice place!

Although the first room did not meet up to the standards, the manager moved us to another room who was perfectly in order. Thank you so much for that Jan! Indeed as some mentioned, not always shampoo but you can easily get it from the 7/11 down the road, as well as body wash if you don't want the provided soap. The staff is friendly and always ready to help (the Thai can be a bit distant at first, but don't be frightened because of that). Don't also be afraid to ask for extra coffee at breakfast....

The room and pool are a bit tired.

A reasonably priced place to stay on the beachfront. Good sized pool. Breakfast was included for our stay, and we also ate at the restaurant one night, food was good.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kamala Dreams! Jan and his team were always very friendly and helpful, the rooms were quiet and clean and we slept like babies. :) Our room was directly in front of the pool, the beach just a few steps around the corner. The food and drinks at the beachview restaurant were delicious. We also enjoyed the visits on our balcony from the friendly house cat. There are many restaurants, a (night) market, bars and shops in walking distance. And if you prefer a night out in Patong (about 15 minutes drive), there are tuk tuks waiting for you. Kamala Dreams at Kamala Beach is the perfect destination for those, who would like it a bit more quiet, yet lively.

Unfortunately the bed was not to my liking, it was not pleasant, not only hard but the springs could be felt and lots of movement when my husband moved or rolled over, a new softer bed would be great in the room we stayed in especially considering the room was the "studio" or "special" room from the other rooms available. However a mattress softer made it bearable supplied by the hotel management.

We really loved the closeness to the ocean, the sunsets from our balcony were amazing. The kitchen was very well stocked with glasses, cutlery, plates. etc The aircon worked well and sufficient to cool the room. We loved the location as we could just walk down the beach every morning to Kamala beach, plenty of parking space at the front of the hotel for our motorbike. The pool was clean and refreshing Jan was very helpful and staff were friendly We will stay again :)
