Staff could speak better English, sometimes it was difficult to understand each other.

We realy ejoyed our stay at Kachonghills resort! We got an upgraded room, which we totally loved. The outside bath with forest view was exceptional. Breakfast was delicious, rich and with many options. All staff was kind and nice. We would like to come back one day.

The stream at the back of their hotel is not super fun. We should have gone to the waterfall nearby instead but time was limited for us. There are not a lot of facilities available within the hotel but we had a great time enjoying the mountain view from the cafe/ restaurant area.

Friendly staffs, comfy room, great campfire. We had great experience overall, from the sheeps wandering around, friendly staffs entertaining our requests, great dinner to the campfire at night. The children enjoyed the campfire very much. They were given marshmallow and all of us gathered around the campfire, enjoying the night under cooling weather.

Nothing bad about this property at all.

Liked everything about the property. The staff on arrival were amazing and continued to be great throughout our stay. Special thanks to Jenny and Mam. We booked a basic tent but were given an option to upgrade to an explorer tent for a very small fee and we were not disappointed. The view was spectacular and the room had everything one would need. Our children loved the free roaming sheep to stroke and the horse and cats. Lovely stream to play in. The food at the restaurant was better then any restaurant we have eaten at in Phuket and we have lived there for 11 years. The children had an amazing time playing with others children around the fire at night whilst roasting marshmallows. They said it was the best place they’ve ever been. We explored waterfalls and cliffs near by.

Many of the extras are basically built into the price to add value so on the whole, compared to other hotels and similar hotels in comparable countries like Bali, I would say this one is very expensive. The wine (the say champagne but is sparkling wine) was nice but if you stay for several nights, it becomes very repetitive and not something we would buy ourselves. A credit towards 'drinks' (say an additional 500 baht) would be a much better experience. You can get a grab from town to Kachong (not easily, some drivers refuse to go as its quite far) but it's hard to find transport going back to Trang from the resort - grab doesnt work there). Use Facebook and search 'Trang Taxi' as the hotel taxis are much more expensive (the hotel was 1200 to the pier, we paid 700 to a local driver we found on FB). No motorbike hire available and there is nothing around for walking (or it's too hot to walk) so ideally, you should organise in Trang before you arrive if you need transport. We couldn't find any info about trips so used Klook to book a multi-island trip which was very good. No safe provided for passport etc in the room. Food: Breakfast was good but a little inconsistent, very good quality pork sausage one day, cheaper more processed sausage the next. The pork knuckle was very fatty, i dont know why they deep fry it. It was expensive but we left almost all of it. Food quality overall was good however and the restaurant is a very nice ambiance with excellent staff and live music. Hot Tub looks good but it's within full view of neighbours and actually the water is cold. A cold tub. Our biggest problem during our stay was the noise of motorbikes. The resort is near a main road but you can also hear them often in the trees and in the resort itself.

Delightful views from the Explorer Tent Room was a good size with balcony Staff were amazing throughout, 5* - probably the best customer service I have experienced in 30+ countries. Staff go above and beyond! Table with great views reserved for us automatically each evening! Afternoon tea delivered to the room Free bottle of wine each night was unexpected Nice wildlife, lizards, cats and kitten, sheep, horse Breakfast and towels provided when we went on a trip for a day with another company Staff took us to the nearby waterfall and provided towels and water! Half board is 500 baht credit (per tent) towards dinner. Good qulity toiletries Minibar with free soft drinks and lots of bottled water provided. Overall, i recommend this resort if you are in Trang.

My stay at Kachong Hills Tented Resort is easily one of the best holidays I've had. The hotel is done up so tastefully and the service was also fantastic - all of the staff were extremely personable and thoughtful - I felt extremely taken care of. I stayed in the marquee tent as well as the double room (with mountain view) - completely different experiences but fantastic all the same. The visit to the waterfalls next door (in the Botanic Gardens) is also a must. There isn't much to do in the area but it doesn't matter: this is a perfect place to just unwind, recharge and enjoy the peace and quiet. I wish I could stay longer. I will definitely be back. PS: I travelled solo but felt very safe!

What a special anniversary at Kachong Hills! We were thrilled with an upgrade to the Mountain View Deluxe room, beautifully adorned for our special occasion. The staff were really helpful and really went the extra mile, (special shout out to Ms.Jenny) even helping us book a dinner reservation in town for our anniversary. Our room had the most amazing views of the mountains and all the comforts we could ask for. It was the perfect setting for our celebration. We can't thank the staff enough for their warmth and thoughtfulness. Kachong Hills holds a special place in our hearts now, and we can't wait to come back for more special occasions.

Such a beautiful location, tent up in the trees with a fabulous bath on the balcony! Great dishes in the restaurant and little extra flourishes, we felt very well looked after. Our daughter loved playing in the sandy stream in the grounds too.

Watch out for the sheep droppings, although the sheep were very friendly !!

We upgraded to one of their 'tree house' rooms and these rooms are fantastic, like waking up in the jungle. The staff were excellent and provided a free taxi shuttle to the botanical park 5 minutes away. The park is free to visitors after 3 and well worth a visit as it has a huge waterfall running through it which was great fun to explore. Food standards and choices were very high and the views from the dining room balcony across the mountains were special. A 30 minute taxi ride from Trang Airport.

Not really a fault of the resort, but the crazy winds/rain made it hard to sleep since it was very loud on the tent. Would opt for a room in the building next time or double check the weather before going.

Such a beautiful resort in a beautiful area! We were given a free upgrade to a fancier tent that overlooked the river. The room was clean, large, and the bed was sooo comfortable. The staff were absolutely amazing and really went above and beyond to make sure you had everything you needed. The food was great, especially the breakfasts. This was a splurge on our backpacking trip and worth every penny!

Entrance not properly marked on google map and Waze (actual entrance is a few meters further down). We ended entering from the back gate meant for construction. However, staff were observation enough to noticed us from the top of the hill.

    Nothing!

We couldn’t have dreamt of a better experience through our entire time at Ka Chong Hills. Upon our late arrival we were warmly greeted, upgraded to an executive explorer suite, and offered dinner even though the restaurant was already closed. The check in was then seamlessly done as we were having food, which was delicious. The next day, we were offered a drive to a nearby waterfall which was lovely and relaxing, although beware of leeches! The staff was beyond helpful when we got some. We then ventured out to have lunch at a nearby restaurant and somehow managed to forget our cash! Again, the same lady working at the hotel (sorry we didn’t get your name) kindly drove to the restaurant, paid our bill and took us back to the hotel! We were then pleasantly surprised with a lovely afternoon tea served on our balcony overlooking the jungle. Beyond how exceptional the staff are, the rooms are simply stunning, beautifully and tactfully decorated to match the environment, in a subtle and understated yet luxurious manner. We loved the outdoor bath and the small touches such a local coffee beans to grind and make coffee with a cafetière. The breakfast was also delicious. We’ll definitely book Ka Chong Hills again for our next trip to Trang!

My family of 4, including kids of 9 and 5 loved this place so much. It was just what we were after, 5 nights of peace and quite amidst a beautiful backdrop. We stayed in family room and pool room which were both furnished to high standards and very comfortable. The food was exceptional, we ate dinner there every night. And the staff were so lovely - from the manager, to reception, to restaurant to cleaners....perfect. They also helped show us around the city...I recommend the caves...very impressive. Botanical garden is 100 metres up road (don't miss the waterfall) and within the hotel grounds (including river frontage - perfect for paddling with kids), i took pictures of around 40 species of bird.
