Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandOnly some small details that vary in importance from person to person. E.g. modernized / upgraded room technology with multiple conveniently located electrical outlets and direct USB charging. Distances to some rooms can be quite a walk (but they do offer free rides around the resort). Improved attention to detail regarding cleaning of rooms and outdoor ammenties where hygiene concerns can become a topic.
Almost all staff were very authentic and warm. It actually felt like they truly cared to help make the guests' experience the best they could. Specifically, I would call out our interactions with Arvin, who displayed exceptional patience, gentlenesss and pure kindness towards us as we dealt with an important logistics issue that took up quite some time and discussion. Thanks in large part to the character displayed by him and his colleagues, not only were our accommodation needs fully met, but the character they showed us made us feel humbled, grateful, and appreciative to be a guest amoung such dedicated and caring staff. The food is incredible. They offer the best breakfast buffet we have experienced in our travels. Their Japanese Teppanyaki chef is also fantastically skilled, and their Thai buffet dinner in front of the beach is not to be missed. We were completely happy with the food choices, which did not leave us wishing we somewhere else or closer to other restaurants. Regarding the location, it's a beautiful secluded beach just around the rocks from the famous Railay Beach, both of which are only accessible by boat, and a short 10 minute walk across the Monkey Trail to Ao Nang beach and town. As is with anything in life, there are always things that can be improved upon, but overall, we give an honest and very deserving 9 out of 10 stars to Centara for this wonderful experience and look forward to staying there again in the future. Very highly recommended!

AustraliaThe fact that you are super secluded from the main part of Krabi. Unless you're using it as a couple days place and not wanting to go into town a lot to explore, then it's okay. As fun as the boat over is, the weather needs to be good. One of us also got sick after only eating/drinking at the resort... and crap TV.
It's a nice resort with beautiful views and comfortable rooms. The staff are really nice and accommodating. The spa was amazing, the girls literally massaged the stress out of us. The slide in the pool was fun and you can hire kayaks and paddle boards from front desk. Great bar and the buckets were awesome. The buffet was large and accommodated to all cultures.

United Arab EmiratesI booked for a trip, and when I arrived at the boat station to take me from the resort to Krabi Port, I remembered that I had forgotten the voucher in the room, and the transfer boat was about to arrive. Mr. Kea was kind enough to quickly transfer me by buggy to the room to get my voucher and return me to the station in record time. I would like to thank him with all my heart for his kind help & support

IndiaOur room had a bath tub, but unfortunately it needed some repair to not let the water drain. We couldnt use it ultimately even after reporting this 2-3 times to room service. No one attended even after complaining in reception. To our luck, the shower area drain was clogged (may be) and the water wasnt draining there. Only one of us could take bath and the other had to manage from the pool area. Not sure if its only our room that had problem, but yeah, we had to go through this while everything else was premium and up to the mark.
Its location is very nice. Full access to the beach and its private to this resort. Room was big and with premium interiors. Breakfast was the best. The spread was so huge with so many options. And lot of exotic fruits and cheese was available at breakfast. Best we had in thailand.

United KingdomThe rooms are run down and tatty in places, lots of little things not working/ my lamp was taped up with black tape, not what you’d expect from 5 star!
We loved how remote the location was, perfect for 4 days away from it all, it felt like paradise on arrival, amazing views and the pool area was lovely

United KingdomIf the water was choppy there would be no boat meaning it’s totally inaccessible if ur disabled or not super fit to hike round the monkey trail, don’t feel like there was very much info on the actual hotels bio about how secluded it actually is.
I liked that it was so private and relaxing, and I did enjoy the monkey trail as much as it was a downfall at nights it was nice to see the monkeys come down to play.

FranceFirstly, we arrived at the hotel following a lengthy journey (a 2.5-hour airplane flight and a 1-hour car ride). Upon our arrival, we found ourselves waiting for over 40 minutes before we could complete our check-in and access our room. The room assigned to us appeared to have been unused for a considerable period, emitting a strong musty odor. Consequently, we requested a different room, but the replacement hadn't been adequately cleaned either. Moreover, the hotel is quite remote. If you wish to venture into the city, you must arrange for a boat or navigate a monkey trail, where encounters with monkeys, possibly even hostile ones, are a possibility. Lastly, the staff restocked the minibar prior to completing the cleaning process.

AustraliaTheir communication prior to arrival wasnt helpful. Transfers to the resort are difficult and we were only advised the need to travel by boat after booking. Then we were advised that if the sea is rough we'd need to walk the Monkey Trail to arrive. Thats a rickety boardwalk up over challenging terrain.

New ZealandSome of the resort is looking abit old and tired, but it is still a beautiful resort.
Loved the privacy of the location - was very relaxed and secluded. It did take a long time to reach it, (2.5 hr bus ride, then a 20 min boat ride to get there), and if I was aware of this when I booked I may not have booked it but it certainly was worth it once we arrived .The rooms were beautiful and spacious with a lovely view of the sea

Australiathe accessibility not only to the resort itself, with the only access to the resort via boat or the ‘monkey trail’. the boat access being limited especially the time of year we were there and the monkey trail being a decent vertical hike (thankfully not to long) up rickety ladders. and you are advised not to carry plastic bags with food or the monkeys will attack and steal it. so limited to hotel food which is extremely overpriced with water bottles having a 10x price increase to a 7/11 👎🏼 the hotel service was also less than desirable as they were clearly understaffed and phone calls to reception were often unanswered. so you are then faced with 500 stairs hike down to reception from your room.
the ocean views from your room are stunning, the spa experience was magical and indulgent and most of the food was exquisite

AustraliaIf the weather is bad, the boat service is unavailable (for good reason), meaning you're kinda stuck unless you do the monkey trail, which is quite hard with very small children. We would have preferred more Thai food options, especially in the day time. The Thai restaurant was great but only available in the evening.
What a place! Stunning national Park surrounding you everywhere you look. Great pools and lovely staff. Nice having a few different restaurants to choose from.

Turkey1) dont book the room with jakuzi, its toooo far away from the pool and the sea. you have to climb for like 5-10 mins to get to your room. 2) monkey trail is too tiring to walk when there is no boat :(

AustraliaLots of stairs (probably not the best place for families with small kids/ disabled persons). To get to town you can either take a monkey trail (which is steep) but it’s ok for persons who don’t mind a bit of a hike. Otherwise you can take a shuttle boat to the pier and from the pier you can take a Tuk tuk to Ao Nang which costs around 150 tbh (one way). Prices at the hotel are much higher then in town for food/ drinks. Hotel has amazing views but it looks a bit old and probably in need of renovation, but generalny we were happy with our spa room with sea views. Cleaning could be improved.
Stunning views from the room, nice pool and private beach

United Statesit is really hard to get off the resort. I read this in other reviews but it is really true. the monkey trail isn’t easy and sometimes it’s the only way in and out. the boat doesn’t always turn if the weather is too choppy (which it was for most of our stay). also truly beware of the monkeys. they come in the rooms and steal your food.
