Nothing to complain!

We had a wonderful stay at Esmeralda!!! The individual bungalows are amazing and you have a stunning view at the sea dotted with little islands, just spectacular to wake up to this every morning. It is also great to just lie on the sunbeds on the veranda, relax and enjoy the view. We loved the island of Ko Yao Yai, the beaches are super beautiful and there are very few tourists. The island is perfect if you want to get away from the overcrowded and overtouristy parts of Thailand and just enjoy a calm and relaxed island with beautiful beaches. We once did the four islands boat tour and it was great! On the different islands you can go hiking, snorkeling or just relax on the beach. We booked all our tours and also the scooter directly at the reception, super easy and the prices are always good. Pond, who is working at the reception, was super helpful and friendly. She helped us even before we came to Thailand with all the organizing for the sandbox program and booking of PCR tests. She also organized for us the transfer from Phuket Airport and everything went absolutely smoothly. 🙏🏻 The restaurant and breakfast are also great. The cook Nono treated us with a broad range of Thai and European breakfast classics and freshly prepared eggs. For dinner you have many options of Thai food, and the papaya salad was the best we had in Thailand 😋

A view from the resort is exceptional. Sunrise is so beautiful. The staff is very friendly and will help you to make your holiday enjoyable. Longtail boat trip was a top experience. Transportation booking, pickup service, motorbike rental and everything you need was avaiable for reasonable price. Breakfast is very good and they will change it according to your wishes. Thai desserts are so delicious. Clean and cosy villas have everything you need. Good Wi-Fi available at the reception and restaurant area.

The shower was a little underpowered but nothing to complain about!

Esmeralda View Resort really exceeded our expectations! Our lodge was lovely, spacious and had a great ocean view! We didn't eat too much but what we did eat was tasty. The owners were super helpful in collecting us from the boat and also arrange bikes for us to hire. We will stay here again!

Everything. Above all, Pawn and Nono and their team are insanely nice and well taking care hosts/managers/chef. I haven't encountered this level of friendly, personal, warm, professional, efficient service. Our bungalow (C2) was very well equipped and had beautiful decors. Facilities were well taken care of, the terrace had super comfy deckchairs, shower with sea-view was great, food was tasty, tons of complimentary fruits, second PCR-test on Yao Noi perfectly organized by Pawn, ... I could go on forever. Will def come back when on Koh Yao Yai.

The girl at the reception was the nicest and most friendly staff we met in Thailand so far. She made us feel very welcome and comfortable and gave us a lot of ideas what to do on the island. Also she arranged the perfect trip to the islands close by for us and even supplied us with extra towels and food for this day. The rooms are nice, we enjoyed the beautiful sunrise from our balcony every morning.

This is a beautiful property on the sea with gorgeous views. It is a family owned property, so we got the best, personalized service. The owner was so sweet snd helped us obtain a scooter, a tour and even packed us free sandwhiches for the day tour and our boat ride home. The best was the food though! There is a chef that prepares all the meals and will personalize the meals to your liking. The breakfast is to die for. All sorts of thai pancakes, fresh fruits and other dishes. The landscaping is amazing too, with flowers everwhere, butterflies, 2 resident eagles that fly by the resort every morning. The cabins were elegantly done with comfy large beds, a wonderful private outdoor balcony to relax and watch the sunset. This is a slice of heaven that im so glad we found!!

Unless you hire a motorbike there is nothing to do there. Grab (Thailands uber) doesn't work in the area, so it is impossible to get around, and also there is no food to eat besides at their restaurant (quiet island) as the walk out is long through bushes. The only other thing I didn't like was the bathroom as there was no ceiling, basically an outdoor shower where you can't even close the door from the toilet. Made me scared as there were insects and animals on the trees as I had to go toilet in the middle of the night.

Staff were very friendly and provided free bananas that the pick from the tree. The food at their restaurant was also very nice. Definitely a chill place.

We had booked to stay here for 4 nights and in hindsight that was too long. Although we loved it here, there was very little to do and our teenagers were a little bored after a few days. We didn't have scooters so was hard to get around, we did take some long walks but was very hot, so not ideal for the walking required to get anywhere. The owner would arrange a taxi for you, so it was no problem but we would've liked a little more around us. The beach was not suitable for swimming either but lovely to have a walk along.

The staff were amazing here, Nono was the best chef and couldn't do enough for you, food was outstanding and Pond looked after us so well, making us feel at home and like part of the family. The view is what makes this place special, it really is a lovely stopover and so tranquil. Very relaxing and quiet, the bungalows are super comfy and clean. We arranged an amazing boat trip for the day to go to the neighbouring islands and we did some fantastic snorkelling from the boat and Pond had arranged a lovely picnic for the day, Nono even asked what we would like in it. It really is Nono and Pond that make this place so special!!

Rooms get quite hot with just a fan but I knew this when booking. Also only get wifi in the lobby it doesn’t make it too the room.

- They have in hotel 3 young roosters and they walk around freely behind bungalows. We asked after first night manager, if she can remove them that they scream from 3:00 am till 9:00 no stopping. She promised to remove them but nothing happened. Second night the same situation. She offered us much more expensive room. So we told her we do not have money for that and she said it is our problem. So 3 nights no sleeping….

Not kid friendly, no activities for my child, the beach has sinking sand so cannot swim, no pool as well, shops are a distance away
