The pool was barely usable. It was filled with bugs all the time, and there was so much chlorine in it, that your eyes would literally burn if you got any water in them. There should probably be some shading made at the pool area as well.

The bungalows are a bit old and need some restoration. They are not completely hermetic, we had ants almost in every room, and one room even had a lizard in it :D but it's Tonsai and we didn't expect anything other :D From March 1st the breakfast was not so good, it lost variation, you had to order rice or pasta, but everyday they were the same. I suppose it was because the high season had ended.

The pool! <3 it's big and with a nice surroundings. The nature around the bungalows is nice. You can see so many animals running or flying around. Receptionists were helpful. It was quite and calm during the day and the night.

Considering the lack of electricity for the majority of the day, it is maybe a little overpriced. We stayed almost a week and had to ask several time to get room service (just a basic clean of the room + change of sheets).

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Free lift from the boat spot and back there upon check-out. Good beds and cute little patio in front of every room. Pool was nice. Generally speaking it is extremely quiet and never felt busy!

A little to far away from everything - limited and complicated options to go to Railay or Ao Nang, especially at night. Little to no options for restaurants in the area. Our bungalow was ok, facilites were not modern, lacking some confort.

Amazing pool. We loved being in the jungle, we were surrounded by mountains. We even got to see monkeys at the pool everyday! The pool was gorgeous.

There is concrete wall/fence surrounding one of the resorts in the area, its ugly and hinders the view ,they should tear it down.

When I first opened my bathroom door, inside there was a lizard, that then escaped through the ceiling 😄 it means in the ceiling there was a hole that big 😄 but it's Tonsai and I think for this place it's kind of normal 😆 monkeys jumping on your roof, some ants here and there, but... I guess all places in Tonsai are like that :)

The swimming pool 💙 The nature around and inside the resort, you could see and hear the birds. The room was quite spacious, nice chairs outside near the door. They give you a ride to the beach after stay. Good wifi and really nice breakfast, they cook you eggs on the spot and there's also plenty of choices.

There is nothing to do there. The excursions departure were in the next beach and at night I had to go through a path was no light in the middle of the jungle. Not cool

Cabin floors and walls had so many gaps in them for ants/mosquitoes to get in. Location wasn’t clear and we got sent a ridiculous way. Have to pay big deposit up front which wasn’t previously stated when booking. Not much to do around. No service offer to bring to/from beach.

The walls of the bathroom were covered in dust. AC was loud, it was hard to sleep when we turned it on, also the neighbours. At first it was tricky to find this hotel from the pier, but actually it's close and the hotel can take You from the pier if You call.

Very beautiful garden and nice cottage. We enjoyed the pool very much. Also there a few nice local places to eat. Beautiful suprize - decoration on bed. Very polite and helpfull staff. Very good palce, it's easy to reach Railay and it's calm.

The room is not finished to a high standard, with lots of stains and cracks around the walls. We had a persistent issue with the toilet, they fixed it every day very quickly. But after a few uses, flushing was a problem ..

There was nothing at the supermarkets just water, ice creams or chips. It could do with more diversity… Railay beach is next for if anything urgent.

Love the beach bar and the people. The area attracts rock climbers really fun and friendly atmosphere.

The mattress was unfortunately very hard and the fan in the room was so loud we weren't able to leave it on during the night. Also the water pressure in the shower was so low we couldn't wash our hair. But besides those little quirks it was good :)

The staff was very nice and helpful. We were able to check in earlier and use the pool straight away. They dropped us of at the Pier at our departure day. The pool area was really nice and refreshing on those hot days. There's no Power throughout the day, but you hardly notice cause you're up and about anyway and we never returned before 5pm anyway. And you're able to charge your phone at the reception. You have pool and shower towels and you get a couple bottles of water for your stay.

You’re definitely staying in the sticks if you’re in the bungalow with the fan but the fan is pretty good! But watch out for some creepy crawlers in the bathroom for sure.

Reception staff were not very friendly, like we were an inconvenience, no power during the day, pool is very heavily treated with chemicals, bathrooms are rough, restaurant is a myth, avoid pre paid breakfast.

One of the more upscale options on Tonsai, amazing gardens and wildlife, luggage service from the beach, have stayed here 5 or so time before so feels very nostalgic/familiar.

No bar or food by the pool and the restaurant wasn't open very often in the afternoon, so we hade to go and get shakes, drinks and food at a different place.

A litter farther of a walk to the climbing and beach, the AC was only on from 17:00-10 am then it shuts off during the day so no way to go back to the room to cool off. Bed was a bit hard.

The staff was friendly, allowed us to check in early since the room was ready. AC worked well when the power is on. Nice balcony view and pool was good.

Given the price we paid I thought this would be less rustic. Ants came into the bathroom and got all over our toothbrushes. Bed was rock hard and uncomfortable. Bungalow showed signs of wear and tear like weak spots in the flooring and evidence of termite dust. Given the location, I understand that maintenance and upkeep could be challenging, so I’m not knocking for that. Just feel that it’s a little overpriced for what you get.
