Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe music that carrying on until 2:30am but the resort did supply ear plugs in the room which I thought that was nice. For the price I was expecting the room to be a bit bigger. It was difficult with 2 x large suitcases and 2 x cabin luggage to move around the room.
The facilities were great. Lovely pool area and close to the beach which was nice

AustraliaWell.........having been to Phi Phi 3 or 4 times in my life (last time 2006) they crowds are have increased quite a bit. Don't get me wrong it was always busy but my god! They Ton Sai pier/harbour area is complete chaos and madness especially when the day trippers arrive in the speedboats. Pretty ugly in muy opinion.
Well it is one of the more luxurious ( and expensive ) resorts on the island. One of the better locations (except for one thing ...more about that later) The garden bungalow areas is 'lush" green and very pretty. The bungalows are very comfortable with nice large bathroom and balcony, but even so they are quite small in my opinion. The pool area is fantastic and the food exceptional. Breakfast is included ( not free!) in the cost of the room and is buffet style with a very large variety of dishes fruits and beverages. It was quite amazing. Staff were excellent. Okay back to the location. Im not the first or will be the last reviewer that will speak about the "noise" at night on the island. The elephant in the room (literally because it as if n elephant it in the room at night) is the fact that Phi Phi has become (even more so ) a "party island". Even if you are located like we were 1.4km from the all night (6;00- 2;30 ) beach party that includes a light show and impressive fire twirling acts. Even at this distance ( image attached) You will hear the music especially the "doof doof" bass until 2;30 am. That is why they give you ear plugs. So your choice is to stay up (and maybe even go and visit the party for a bit or put up with it till they stop. You have been warned.

SwedenRooms were quite small. However the biggest problem was the noise. Rooms are not soundproof at all (and I mean at all). You could hear every step and conversations from outside and nearby rooms. Most of all, the loud music from the bars, as named in many other comments.
Very beautiful and exotic scenery. Nice restaurant with tasty dishes and huge variaty. Nice pool. Helpful staff.

AustraliaThe area itself is very noisy and the villas are built out of bamboo so sound transmits easily (could hear conversations of those next door). The party music goes till about 3am so if you are a light sleeper this area of phi phi island might not be best. We were fine sleeping with ear plugs.
Fabulous pool with lots of chairs, good bar and outdoor massages available too Staff were very friendly Breakfast buffet was okay

Romania- every day there was a really bad smell from time to time that would get into the room. They said it was coming from the resort next to us, but either way it was really unpleasant. They offered to change our room, but the smell was everywhere; - even though the restaurant was good, the coffee that was available at breakfast was super bad, there was a huge difference compared to the coffee they were serving during the day and that you have to pay for; - because the cabins are made out of bambus, there is no soundproof, you can hear everything that’s happening outside or in the other cabins; - wifi is so bad that it would have been better if there was no wifi at all.
- when it comes to how the resort looks and how it’s taken car of it’s probably one of the best accomodation on the island; - restaurant is very good, lots of options to choose from; - on premise massage is great, everyone has to try it at least one; - staff super friendly and always willing to help.

United StatesThe staff at the pool bar we're not very friendly. The one guy never smiled, ever. It seemed like I was bothering them when I asked for stuff. All other staff members were fine. And the ladies at the Thai massage were very nice.
Loved the hut room. very nice. the music from local beach bands were not as bad as I thought they would be, just a beat really. used ear plugs, no problem at all. room clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the Thai massages out by the beach/pool. Breakfast good, wished they started earlier (open at 7am) for scuba divers like me who had to be at the dive meeting spot by 7:30am. This was the furthest spot on the beach, so a short walk from town, but totally worth it to be away from all the chaos of the beach bars, etc. Could easily walk to them along the beach though. I recommend this for people that don't want to be right in the center of the loud chaos, but still able to walk to town/docks etc. Also, I recommend taking the free kayak around the point, The snorkeling is amazing just easy to beach the kayak and have amazing snorkeling. Take a mask!!

United KingdomThe only down thing about this beautiful hotel is that the music at night is super loud until 2.30 am and us as a couple we didn't like it, because we don't like going to pool parties and we wanted to sleep as we needed to relax and wanted to enjoy our honeymoon. We understand that Phi Phi island is for party, so we didn't complain, I think we did a mistake to come to island for our honeymoon
The staff was very kind and helpful, it was very clean and we enjoyed the food in the hotel because outside the hotel we personally couldn't eat.

United KingdomAs everyone else has said, and the property does warn you, the noise from the phi phi nightlife is quite loud
The bamboo huts are lovely, there are beautiful plants and walkways that make you feel like you’re in the jungle. The pool and bar were great and you’re right on a private area of the beach. The hotel staff bring your bags from and to the ferry which is much appreciated in the heat.

United KingdomNot a fault of the hotel but the music across the bay can be heard till 2.30am. The hotel provides ear plugs to combat this. It Isn’t really loud but also not quiet. Will likely be the same for most hotels on the island. Room/hut walls are quite thin so anyone walking past you can hear. Unsure if it was the same for all rooms but our bathroom bin didn’t have a lid. This would help it feel more clean and discreet as you can’t flush toilet paper down the drain on the island
The pool area, views of the beach and closeness to the beach. The staff are incredibly helpful; meeting us at the pier and taking our bags to the hotel and the same for the return trip. They even rushed my medication to the boat within 10 minutes after I had left it in reception fridge, which is over and above, I am so grateful for their help.

United KingdomI didn’t like the amount of sand in the rooms (my own issue with sand though as the hotel was a beach hotel). The noise is also no joke! I thought the other reviews were being OTT but wowwww it’s like you’re in a nightclub until 3am every night, understand this cannot be helped due to the very loud beach club along the beach :( the ear plugs really did help to drown it out though !
The whole place is absolutely beautiful! Breakfast was nice, very cool to see some wild monkeys, even though they did steal some food, the staff would always try to chase them off and replace missing food! Overall pleasant stay here.
