ThailandThe first room we were given had a terrible smell of sewage, we had to move room. It seems the hotel has a serious issue with their drains system. The kids club also stank and despite their attempt to cover the stench with automatic perfume diffusers, it just stank, and was not safe for kids to breath in that smelly gas. The second room had no hot water and was not fixed after I reported it. Not very good maintenance staff. Only two Jacuzzi's were working, the other ones were simply off. The restaurant toilets were dirty, shame because the restaurant itself is nice. Nothing to do with the hotel, but the area it is in, is totally polluted by garbage. The forest nearby resemble like a plane crash, trash absolutely everywhere.....the thai's obviously do not care about their environment. Same story all other thailand. However, the tourism office should be doing something about this. It is not nice to experience that when you arrive and leave the hotel.
The family suite is very nice. Buffet is great, both breakfast and dinner had tons of choice and very well priced, not mentioning kids eats for free. Pool is very nice and has a swimming bar, happy hour etc, perfect. Great staff all round. I even got an early check out as well a late check out with no issues at all. In fact I am a member of the Centara the one card, but it is totally pointless because you get a much better rate with Booking.com and still can enjoy the perks.

United KingdomThe rooms didn't feel overly clean upon check in even with daily housekeeping service, maybe the rooms need updated as are worn and older so it feels unclean. The pool ran out of pool towels. My son became unwell, I asked the reception staff how to get to the hospital she phoned a taxi it cost over 400 baht one way! The hospital then told me about bolt app which I used for the return journey at a fraction of the cost 66 baht! I feel the hotel recption could have helped me with this in the first place. The rooms didn't get cleaned until 5pm most days and thats when we would be back at the room showering before going out to dinner. Not fault of housekeeping I guess it was a busy turnover that day.
Breakfast was very nice, lots of variety, fresh and delicious. Only improvement would be a decent coffee! Restaurant staff and pool bar staff very friendly. Cot provided free of charge. Shuttle service provided on the hour every hour for guests to Jomtien beach.

ThailandFor me the breakfast was just 'okay', but my wife loved it, thus I think it's more suited to Thai nationals. The actual eating area was poorly lit and freezing cold, which didn't help the ambience, although one could have eaten outside - next time I will do just that. Nevertheless, for me, the breakfast and the overall ambience of where we chose to sit, was the only notable point in what was an superb overnight stay.
This was our first time visiting Centara Life Maris Resort and we were impressed, especially with the pool, room and staff. You'd need to drive a short distance to Jomtien Beach, but we had our own vehicle and I'm sure the hotel would provide transport there anyway, but the room was super clean and comfortable. The pool area is fantastic and safe for small kids too.

CanadaThe shower and bathtub was falling apart. My husband found out quickly that the bathtub wasn't secured to the floor. There also wasn't any hair conditioner. House keeping left the doors open for the mosquitoes to come in after getting rid of them on the first day, so I opted out from having housekeeping come to clean for the duration of our stay. The kids playroom wasn't air conditioned too well and felt stuffy/dusty.
The buffet was good. They made sure to replenish food quickly and always had piles of fresh cut fruit. They had bacon and a omlette station as well as a mix of noodles, curries and stir fried items. The rooms were large and comfortable. The bathtub separate from the shower was nice as well. The staff are so wonderful. Everyone was very nice and patient with us (we have two toddlers). Lots of toys and kid friendly things around. The splash part was a bit aggressive for my 2 yo but my 4 yo was good with it.
