Very calm place, based right in front of the walking street. Best location ever imagined. The hotel is overall old, but everything works, the pool is clean, the sunbeds are fine and there are lots of them.

Breakfast is poor. Most of the customers were old people, so if you are a young couple - consider this.

Sunbeds are very old. Rooms are outdated. Plugs did not work. Tv was half broken. Bathroom was old, no pressure, holes for water pumps and tubes.

The hotel is very old and needs a restoration. The bathroom closes with a little dirty curtain and the shower was working but was very strange (to Mcgyver). The location of the hotel is more for elderly people, since we could see around the bars and restaurants only elderly men enjoying the night life. No air conditioner in the breakfast area, what is good and bad because it was an open area with view to the swimming pool, but with the weather in Thailand can be hard to stand.

Excellent location, near to the beach (couple of steps). The room is very big, with amenities of good quality. The breakfast is very good, with a good variety of food. The swimming pool is big and very nice (around 3 meters deep).

Wifi in first room was non existent....for 3 days until they gave me a new room. Then our neighbor was quite loud....yelling in the night.

The wifi wasn't good but that seems to be a problem in most Thai hotels. The shower was a little too old for my liking. It also got broken after a few days, but they were great and fixed. I would still recommend this hotel to you

The pool and the outdoor area of the hotel are very cute. I always look for places that give you the option to sit outside and you don't feel like you're in a glass prison. Very nice staff. It is close to the beach. Also, it is close to the bars, if you're into that. It's not my thing personally, but they are right there. In addition, it is absolutely quiet in the hotel. I also tried the restaurant in the hotel and it was really good for decent money.

Staff, the guards at the buffet thought I'm stealing food, announced to everyone that my booking didn't include breakfast, honestly the food didn't look good I just thought my booking included breakfast so had to check it out. but after seeing it, I was just going for a coffee when the whole thing happened...anyways tons of food places around so really no big deal.

The room it was ok bit tiered needed refurbishment, at £24.00 a night with breakfast can’t complain.  Pattaya very very busy a bit too busy for us, but I guess it’s something you have to see and experience only here for a few days.

Power off Had a taxi from Bangkok to Pattaya from Mike’s taxi based in Pattaya, very good 1200 Bhat.  Arrived at check in power went down, thought well this is a good start. Came on almost immediately. Room on the first / top. Very spacious with new independent A/C. Grounds were quite big with a large pool and a 🐕 exercise area with their own pool. Ground’s running down to the beach 🏝️. We arrived to a music festival, not really are a thing as we are older. Luckily we were just far enough away from the beach festival so music not too bad. Wi-Fi seams to be slow. 3.58 download.

Hard bed but still ok for me, pretty loud in the night from air conditioning unit and loud fridge, also early morning you can hear the wildlife, so light sleepers would not sleep well

-- Contrary to what booking.com claims (and contrary to the previous practice of Basaya in 2017, 18, 19), the hotel does NOT accept American Express cards. -- Although the wifi signal is detectable inside the room, the laptop connection to Internet is unstable and works only sporadically; and, if so, then with rather a narrow bandwidth. The problem seems to be known to the management but categorized as "unsolved mysteries". If you get desperate you can use the Internet cafe Ja Jaa Net, the same street as Basaya, approx. 600 m to the East (i.e. away from the sea). -- Conclusion: In spite of the weak points just mentioned I will come, in future, to Basaya again.

Basaya is one of the Pattaya's classics: constructed around a huge garden with a large swimming pool, it is a peaceful haven in the area which is yet busy (numerous restaurants, cafes, bars...). The "New Standard" rooms were recently renovated and feature a fridge, large flat screen TV with international programs, large working desk, A.C. working properly all the time. Wifi was planned to be accessible from individual rooms.

Cheap room, a little bit worn out, but very clean and in a very good location. Directly at beachroad. Breakfast isn't worth it, there are better local options around. Every major building is in 20 min walking distance.
