I was running through the list of hotels in Koh Samui and once I saw Cascade Tara’s listing, it immediately caught my eyes. Asked some questions via booking platform and Instagram and the team was replying quickly and immediately made me felt welcomed. Upon check in, my family(mother, brother and son) and I were warmly welcomed by the team at reception and briefed with amenities, rules and regulations in English. Process was swift and they brought us to our rooms for us to settle in. Rooms were in clean condition and it felt cosy and homely. We chose this resort knowing it’s located and surrounded by nature forest style. Quiet, calming with fresh air and safe. Pleasantly surprised with the breakfast spread, kitchen prepared Western, Asian and Thai cuisine in both buffet and ala carte style. Buffet food were kept warm and fresh. Little details like providing cow’s milk, and vegan options such aa almond and oat milk. You could DIY your own juice, with a juicer and a selection of fresh fruits. Resort has a selection of motorcycles and car available for guests’ rental. Chauffeured transportation / airport transfers are available too. Thank you to Pan, Alex, Ning, and the everyone in the team. Will be back to Cascade Tara if there’s a chance. Would plan to spend more time to stay in the resort more, soak in the swimming pool, explore and enjoying the surroundings since it’s near the famous waterfall. Look forward to our next stay!

For us specifically the location was a bit too far away from the next shops and restaurants etc. If you like it more quiet the location is perfect.

Staff was phenomenal - Pan helped us with everything. Location wasn't in walking distance to much, but a short drive from some good locations. And they have reasonable rates to drive you into town or to the waterfalls. Property was beautiful and rooms were great. Would highly recommend.

You really need a car or a motor bike, without one of those your are pretty far from everything. There are two waterfalls you can walk to from the apartment, but both are not really worth the trip. Everything inside Cascade Tara is pretty expensive. Restaurant, massage, drinks all cost double or triple as much as outside. A taxi round trip to the closest beaches are around 1000 baht.

Very, very friendly staff! Help you whenever with whatever you need! Nice bungalows, beautiful pool area, there is a free shuttle to the next seven eleven. Nice breakfast buffet, great food at the restaurant.

Absolutely stunning location right in the jungle and yet not far from everything. Beautiful design and the pool is salt water, which is really great. Spacious and very comfy rooms.

Property is in a secluded location in the forest, surrounded only by nature. There is a pool - amazing, super relaxing! The rooms are extremely clean and super spacious. The staff of the hotel is AMAZING - one of our group had a birthday during our stay and the staff surprised us with a cake and candles - it was really special. The person at reception, the manager of the hotel, the bartender (amazing cocktails) and all of the waiters were fabulous - so friendly and sooooo nice! This is really a gem in Koh Samui and if you’re wondering to book it - search no more and go ahead, you won’t be disappointed. Also, if you’re lucky in the morning you can hear the elephants from the nearby sanctuary.

I liked everything!

Everything was absolutely perfect. Location, surroundings, accommodation, pool, food, staff. It is clear that someone made an effort to create a complex for enjoyment, because the hotel is located in a natural environment so that it is maximally integrated and, together with the natural beauty, forms a perfect whole. They paid attention to every detail so that guests feel like little gods. The food was phenomenal, the service at the top level, the staff extremely helpful and professional. The location is also perfect, and our first neighbors were elephants from the local sanctuary (must see!).

My friend and I stayed here after traveling to Thailand from the USA. It was a great place to relax. About 30 min drive from the airport. Beautiful location. Is next to an elephant sanctuary and I could see elephants in the distance from the pool area! Staff is very nice and accomodating.

Didn't like that we couldn't stay longer.

What's not to like about this hidden gem on the verge of the jungle! We were so amazed by the hospitality, the room, the location, everything. I did not have high expectations, but I would say this hotel is seriously underrated for this price-quality ratio. I think for us, it was in the details - hearing the elephants trumpeting in the morning, the waterfall softly gushing, the reception being some of the sweetest people we met on the island. We checked out in the morning, went for a boat trip and then returned to pick up our luggage in the evening, and while waiting for our driver, the kind lady from the reception served us water and made sure everything was fine with us. Also, if you like peace and serenity, this south-west side of the island is so quiet and nice to explore with a scooter. 10/10

The air conditioner in the master bedroom did not work correctly. The staff tried to repair it but the problem still remained. The breakfast was too local: not enough European food. Also a too small menu in the restaurant. Though it's just small issues.

Excellent hotel. Very friendly Staff, spacious bungalows, rather big pool - everything is fine. The elephants live behind the wall. Definitely recommend! (The car is absolutely needed)

You always have to ask for water which is uncomfortable. We were 5 of us and we drank a lot as it was hot. Once they even asked: you didn’t get a bottle in the morning? (500mls). Pool water is cold (but very clean).

Amazing hotel. Beautiful location, really quiet, we had so much fun here at Christmas time. Breakfast is generous. Restaurant is overpriced but it can be as very far from everything.

Like most hotels we been on Samui, the mattress was a bit hard for our liking but I think that's a pretty standard mattress hardness for Thailand maybe?

The pool was magnificent, the room was nice and clean. It's location next to an elephant sanctuary so sometimes you can hear the elephants which was magical to us. Secluded but not far from Chaweng beach. Good if you had enough of beaches and want some jungle atmosphere

The hotel rests upon picturesque green hills, surrounded by meticulously maintained grounds teeming with nature. We were even treated to fruits from their garden! The staff's kindness and assistance were exceptional. Being a newly established property, everything appeared to be of the highest quality. The availability of rental mopeds was a significant advantage for exploring the island, and we truly appreciated the tranquil ambiance of the surroundings.

We didn’t like the dinner (small selection of dishes for dinner and most of them were Thai cuisine, few selection for European taste). Also, we didn’t like the smoothies (too much ice, didn’t taste like smoothies).

The hotel is newly built, very stylish. The rooms are great. The breakfast is super delicious and great variety of dishes. Also, the location is great. It’s close to elephant park and waterfalls.
