United KingdomOnly issue we had was with the size and layout of the room we booked. The room size was small and laid out badly with a bed pushed up against a wall and a sofa taking up most of the room space. Probably not the best Feng shui. As with other properties in Thailand we did notice a smell of damp in the room on arrival. Probably because the room is small with damp coming from shower room but this is only a major niggle and doesn’t take away from our experience at the Buri Rasa.
Key likes of this property are the location, the staff, cleanliness and maintenance of the grounds. The location is second to none with a central Chaweng beach location but also far enough away from the really busy party areas around Ark and Elephant Bar. The beach is beautiful and having been to Samui 3 times this is for sure the best beach on Samui. Best sand and shallow / low wave seas for those less comfortable of bigger waves. The grounds have been maintained to a very high standard at Buri Rasa. High praise for the grounds staff - even to the level of picking up daily fallen leaves from the beautiful trees. Cleanliness is of a high standard and one that would be expected of a 4/5 star property. The staff at Buri Rasa are superb! Even to the point of dealing with a bunch of rowdy kids with the utmost discretion. Big shout out to Rit, Arm and Jun who were brilliant at their jobs and really helped make our stay enjoyable!

IndiaFood options for vegetarians can be improved. Though the staff was very mindful of my choices as a vegetarian and went over and beyond.
Hospitality was phenomenal. The property is very peaceful even though it is in the main area in chaweng. The beach was gorgeous.

AustraliaFailed to refresh breakfast items regularly. Most people were cigarette smokers . Went to sit on the sunbeds only to be totally engulfed with people chain smoking. There was literally no escaping, due to the small beachfront Not resort fault. Maybe there could be a non smoking section? Nowhere to was your feet in front of your room. Check in was a fiasco. We paid for airport transfers- who was very nice, yet when we arrived to resort. Demands of passport and money deposit and had to sign a document about smoking weed… 10000 tbh fine and police called….. before we were offered a welcome drink. And no cold towel. Bit disappointing when paying premium price. We stayed at other cheaper resorts and welcome service was much better.

Nice hotel in a great location, beautiful beach but sometimes high waves, might not be very suitable for kids. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Rooms are quite small but enough if you don't want to spend a lot of time there.
