Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe general area after you get off the elevator is a bit stuffy, I think it would help if a few windows were left opened for airflow.
Great location, very quiet and clean.

GermanyThe wi-fi in one of our rooms was unstable, but it got fixed at some point.
Our experience was so lovely that we extended our stay at the hotel. First and foremost, the personnel were incredible! So nice, friendly, and helpful! They checked us in early and were always happy to provide us with extra water or towels and answer any questions we had. We felt so welcomed! Dewty and Anny were especially kind - ladies, thank you for making our experience so wonderful! As for the hotel itself, I really liked the modern design, both of the hotel overall and our rooms in particular. It has two pools large enough for proper swimming, a small gym (mostly treadmills, but there are also some weights), and an absolutely fantastic breakfast. Great selection, fresh food, and a good variety of local and international dishes - our whole family loved it! Also, I can't forget to mention the local cat, Snow White, who is an absolute sweetheart. Overall, great value for money.

United StatesThe location of this hotel is definitely walkable to main areas, but the area directly surrounding the hotel is very sleepy. We just didn't love Old Town in general, but this hotel seemed to be a ways away from the little bit of action that is present in Old Town. Also, the wifi didn't work in the first room they put us in, so we had to change rooms. The front desk staff was very helpful in fixing this issue, though.
This property was clean and staff was friendly. The room was a good size. We stayed here so we could have easy access to the pier to go on a Phi Phi Islands tour. It was nice to have a short drive to and from the pier - about 6 minutes each way.

ThailandFirst, the building that i stayed in (the 4th one) was a little far, and the slopes to the front desk & the 4th building were a bit steep (probably more for the younger generation). Second, I liked it that there was a gym but the big treadmill did not work, so i was left with the small one only. The hotel could do us a big favor if they could clean up the treadmills which were rusty at place.
A nice little, clean and modern boutique hotel with big quiet rooms, comfy beds, enough sockets, enough tables/chairs, hospitable staff. The pictures of the hotel in Booking.com were true to reality. Another plus of this hotel is its location, right next to the old bus terminal (seems it's not being used much at all), AND it is not far from other bigger hotels, e.g. Royal City (less than 5 minutes walk), Courtyard by Marriott (about 10 minutes), etc. We can quite easily walk to the Old Town too--in about 15 minutes stroll. Finally, there are a few nice restaurants not far, e.g. NC (a famous 'institution'--with lots of Southern Thai dishes--in very affordable prices!), an Indian place (didn't try it). PS: There is a good 7/11 almost right in front of the soi.

AustraliaThe mattresses in my room were a very firm. the AC is either on or off, the temperature thermostat doesn’t seem to have an impact on temperature. Missing outdoor lounge chairs other than few regular chairs by the pool. The gym equipment is missing major tools such as handles for the cable machine, basically not usable.
Nice pool, clean, room overlooking the pool, breakfast nice enough, very close to the main bus terminal, not far from the main touristy streets. Every staff person was very friendly and helpful. The small cafe is convenient.

AustraliaMy room got locked at noon and I could not get in even though I had paid for late check out. Fixed at reception but a nuisance because the hotel is set out in a number of separate buildings so it is lift down, past the pool, past all the actors down ramps, outside, up ramps, through the building and then back again. There's short cuts to out the street though. I had to keep my curtains closed for privacy as anyone walking along the other corridor looked straight into my room. There was a surprising amount of noise and banging from ?the cleaners but only during the day. The night was very peaceful.
Location great, 1 minute to Terminal 1 bus which is what I wanted. Walk to night market. Friendly staff. Gave me a 5pm checkout (from 12) for about extra 30% of room rate. Room was clean, bed was amazingly comfortable. Plenty of pillows. Aircon good. Breakfast had a good spread but mostly not to my taste. There was what looked like a nice co-working space with kitchen but that was not available to me because it had many actors and actresses getting prepared for a show and others sprawled around. I wondered if the hotel might usually allow you to use the facilities for a while after check out rather than get a late checkout. The pool in block 3 looked beautiful although I did not go into it (too many actors in the vicinity and some kid showing off spitting in it). The other pool I could not work out how to get in. I did not use room service but menu and prices looked good.
