Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Malaysianot all, but the quality of food was not up to expectation and some items were not cooked properly (e.g tasteless). The butter at the breakfast buffet was not the best. The hairdryer in the room could be replaced with something better and stronger as it is quite mild.
The location of Banyan tree, not too far or close to the city. The friendliness of staff, very accommodating, welcoming, and just hospitable. The efficiency of staff when it comes to services, such as cleaning and buggy rides. The cleanliness of the beach. The whole villa, the view, the quietness, serenity. In general, it was all amazing.

IsraelThe service at the beach is a bit slow,
The villas provide privacy, the private beach. The hotel is remote which is exactly what we were looking for.

SingaporeThere is NO power socket one side of the bed side table. Primitive!! It is cheap to wire it in and am shocked they have not done so. Gym floor should be rubberised and not thin carpets.
Breakfast offering was good and I like the fact that every day it is a different offering of Asian/local food. The hotel could do with another restaurant like Italian or Jap.

IsraelOnly that issue with the expensive dinner options…
I think there really is one word to describe this hotel: heaven. It truly felt like heaven on earth. But now in some more details… We stayed there in May 24’ for 8 nights - with our 1 year old baby girl. From the moment we arrived to the lobby, the service was incredible. We were greeted by our hostess (Dada - you’re amazing!) and given welcome drinks and refreshments. We arrived earlier than we were supposed to but the hotel still managed to arrange our room quickly. When we were taken to our room (they have these little buggies - electric go carts that drive you around the compound) we were in awe of the room. Well, if you can even call it a room. It’s a whole cabin - with its own pool - that’s isn’t even that small (for a private pool). The cabin is make up of a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. Each section can be private as the ere are double doors between them - which was incredible for us because we put our baby to sleep in the living room and had our own private room. Aside from how gorgeous and comfortable the room is - we felt complete privacy. No one can see you from outside the cabin and it is so quiet and peaceful there! Oh, and the view - breathtaking. We booked the partial sea view - which was perfect for us, because we saw the beautiful trees and greenery as well as some of the beach/sea. Ok and now to the most amazing part - the breakfast. I swear, I could simply eat there all day. The breakfast room is gorgeous, sitting on top of the hill, overlooking the whole compound and sea, and the food is just so versatile, fresh and yummy! The staff is incredible, very attentive and professional (they were so helpful with our little baby, providing a baby chair and baby food and even playing with her). There was so much to choose from during breakfast, from your typical European and American style breakfasts to more eastern type food, Thai/Japanese and more. We absolutely waited to wake up just to head to the breakfast 😂. What’s else?

NetherlandsYou need to get a buggy around the resort as the villas are mostly a steep walk. For those with small kids/push chairs, not so easy to travel around. We travelled with a 6 and 10 year old and they absolutely loved it.
Amazing location, great beach with a good offer of water sports. Great restaurants. The staff were very friendly.

Wonderful & friendly staff met every request we had. Our pool villa (E03) had the most amazing views and we highly recommend it. The food was great too (no need to go elsewhere to eat). Very clean & comfortable room. We also enjoyed the SPA. The beach and hotel pool area is quite nice and peaceful.

Hong KongOctopus club - which is there kids club is not as big as I expected, and the staff there doesn’t seem like she cares much about the children, genuinely the least interested person I have met through the hotel. And their first aid box contains loads of expired items as well, my little one had a boo boo there so I noticed.
The hotel is absolutely an amazing treat! We are traveling with three little ones 5 and under, and we travel once every couple months, that’s a lot of traveling with young kids and I have to say this one stood out. From check in to check out, the team is absolutely fantastic, everyone seems to be so friendly and kind, detail oriented and thoughtful, there’s better views but the customer service is what you pay for. Nan is our villa host, she’s done a great job; James from Sands are so kind and patient with my kids; the staff from the beach are so warm and welcoming; all the buggy guys are driving very carefully and nice to us: housekeeping are absolutely wonderful too, with little kids, room needs pros to take care of!

PolandFor Thailand it’s very pricey - expect to pay ~500-700 Baht per single dish (we are vegetarian, meat and seafood is more pricey I guess), similar for drinks. In general - the views, smiling staff, the villas and the secluded location make up for it, but you will feel a bit „milked” as a customer - some of the services really shouldn’t cost that much.
The Villas are large and super comfy. The views are just breathtaking, private pool is a nice touch. Private hotel beach is very clean with crystal clear water (not always, depends on the weather). Personnel is always smiling, very helpful and responsive. Food is decent, although Saffron is clearly 1-2 points above The Edge. You get to experience „being in a jungle” while staying at very luxurious and comfortable place.
