There were quite a lot of mosquitoes, which is understandable given its jungle setting, but it would be nice if more could be done to manage them. Also, the queue for breakfast was long, especially on rainy days when indoor seating was limited. It would be great if they could open another restaurant for breakfast during such occasions.

For me the energy of the vila was off I didn’t feel comfortable it made me feel anxious. But maybe its just me.

The place is quite and inspires you to be calm. Our vila was the signature one it was nice and well decorated. The breakfast was diverse; Thai, japanease, indian and basics like cheeses and pastries and egg section.

Generally it was fine. Checking in was a bit of a pain, could have been faster and better managed. Shuttle bus into could have been better if it went into town rather than on the fringe after which you get a taxi or walk, with a child that’s not much fun. Breakfast was often chaotic when it got busy. Golf course restaurant/bar wasn’t great, very slow service and food was average.

Nice Villa if a little dated. Pool was lovely. Having bicycles to get around was a nice touch.

Location is quite remote for those that like to explore, although a scooter solved that. Taxis back to airport are around 400 on Bolt app, Guy charged us 800, last day, no biggie but a shame. Food poisoning from Canal Village night market took me out for 2 days.

Breakfast had every possible option and very high quality. Room and Pool were kept spotless. Staff (probably Thai people in general?) were the most polite and helpful people i have met.

This was my third summer in a row staying at antan Tree. The service and quality of food at the breakfast is declining. I also experienced a very bad checkout experience, where the staff insisted of checking the fridge in front of my family (usually this is done once we leave the room)… wasn’t a good checkout at all, with the price we are paying, we are not here to steal a coke or sprite !! The final interaction with customers should be managed better and given to trained staff.

There are a few kinks that would make this place a 10. The communication about the amenity offerings, classes, shuttles, restaurant reservations etc. needs improvement. For example, we went to book classes and no one could confirm with us if there had been spots for us or feedback loop that we got in. I feel like we would have been able to enjoy everything this amazing place has to offer if we’d know more about it in advance or had a brochure emailed to us prior to our stay.

This property was heaven and exactly what we needed for a relaxing vacation. The villas themselves are gorgeous and we got to experience quite a few of the amenities offered (yoga classes, cooking classes, spa, etc.). Staff was absolutely wonderful and friendly. Food was excellent as well. Cannot recommend this place enough.

At the end of the stay, they have a hotel staff check for any items you might take. I took a vanity bag for which initially I was being charged (never heard of this anywhere in the world). Reason for writing a review about this is i forgot some sandals in my room which was not pointed out as left in the room but they checked for all the amenities that could be taken by guests. Asked for an extra laundry bag as there was only one and they told it would be charged as well.

The look and feel of the resort with the authentic architecture and rooms are amazing!

The food was very over priced. So was the spa services. Was too expensive. The time the buggy took to arrive could be shorter. The villa should be mopped at least once during 4 or 5 days of stay. The pillow was too soft and did not enable a good sleep.The breakfast served Indian food which were labelled wrongly and the taste of the Indian food was very bad. When my family stayed in hotels in Malaysia, they had always entertained our request to do a vegetarian stir fried noodles since we are vegetarians. However, when we approached the staff if a stir fried noodle for 1 person was possible, we were turned down. We have always believed that a reputable hotel like Banyan tree should take pride in putting the guest at the heart of their service. If they could have considered our request, it would have left a mark in our hearts and minds and would have added to our fond memory and experience of staying at Banyan Tree Phuket. We were also asked to pay for stuff that we did not take. We were billed even before the villa was checked during check out. However, we managed to sort it out.

The 2 bedroom villa was superb. The swimming pool was amazing. Was big enough for a family of 5 adults and 2 kids. The master bedroom and toilet were spacious. The kids loved the stay. The vegetarian options in the cafe was very helpful to our family. The entire Banyan tree atmosphere was very beautiful. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. I think the shuttle service to Laguna was a value added service. The breakfast was delicious and had a good spread but more vegetarian options would have been great.
