felt a little too mainstream in term of restaurants .. but that just a personal choice . It’s a little out of the way but in order to have such a lovely poor it would have to be .

a great resort style hotel with fabulous pool and free boat shuttle down to city center . 20 min boat ride to city center so not for those who want to be dead center but a perfect escape from the crowded city

It was like an oasis of calm in the middle of the city, the staff were amazing, the property had everything we needed, clean and very relaxing, beautiful gardens, the food fabulous and the day spa just perfect!! We would definitely stay again on our next trip to Bangkok.

We loved The resort feeling while in the middle of the city! The shuttle boat for both sides of the river made it very practical for us! Staff was very friendly n helpful.we tried few of the meals n all were fantastic! The kids loved it and felt really safe to let them walk around! very clean rooms and super comfy bed! We will be back:)

1. Not staying longer, but we had a tight schedule to follow so it could not be helped. 2. Forgetting to bring bathing suits to enjoy the large and beautifully-decorated swimming pool. 3. Not able to take advantage of all the hotel's amenities during our stay.

LOCATION: It was perfect based on the fact that I needed to stay at hotel near the Manohra Cruise reception point since a dinner cruise was reserved there. And naturally the hotel was right next to the Chao Phraya river which offered a scenic view of the city. ROOM: The room was a free upgrade which was a delight. This corner room was very spacious, modern, clean, and adorned with beautiful decor. The beds were very comfortable, and the views from my room were exceptional, especially the view of the Chao Phraya river as a backdrop just outside our very spacious balcony. STAFF: All the staff members I encountered were professional, friendly, courteous, and warm. BREAKFAST: Amazing selection of food. Good service. Great decor. AMENITIES: We only stayed one night so we did not take advantage of all the amenities at this location. But like most 5-star hotels, they naturally have a spacious gym, spa, gift stores, restaurants, etc. which I'm sure were next level. However, walking/touring around the hotel grounds was unforgettable with an abundance of trees, and well-manicured landscape including flowers, plants, and other nature-based elements that made this experience for taking pictures an enjoyable one.

If I had to mention a downside, it would be that the views from our room were the most disappointing part of our stay. While we did have a view of the river, we also had to see the backs of some rather unattractive houses. However, considering the outside temperature and the limited use we made of the balcony, it wasn’t an issue at all.

Above all, the most important aspect is the friendliness and availability of the staff. From the receptionists to the concierges, waitstaff, and beyond, the friendliness and availability of the staff are what truly stand out. Anantara is an oasis in the heart of Bangkok, set along the Chao Phraya River. While slightly removed from the city center, the resort offers a peaceful escape with convenient access via complimentary boat shuttle to BTS Saphan Taksin or with "grab". The resort features a wide range of dining options, a large outdoor pool, a well-equipped gym, and a luxurious spa. The breakfast is excellent, offering made-to-order options with both Western and Asian dishes.

Great location , there’s a mall and a 7/11 store right in front of the hotel , the swimming pool was exceptional , you can take a ferry to the icon mall every hour and back, the restaurant food is good , plus you can enjoy your food with music entertainment.

We had a Half Board package but actually the evening buffet isn’t expensive (2,000bht) and the other restaurants have a limited set menu for half board guests( which we had to negotiate because they said we could only have the buffet initially) it’s probably not worth the additional cost. Particularly as we ate out in Bangkok 1/2 nights. Bed and breakfast is sufficient.

It is a large, spacious hotel resort with lots of open spaces and beautiful corners. The large pool is probably its best selling point. There are great dining options , Italian, Trader Vics, fantastic evening buffet and the breakfast is fantastically varied and delicious. Staff are so friendly and courteous. Rooms are nice, we had 2 of the riverfront deluxe rooms- on 4th floor. It was a little noisy as the river traffic runs through the night, particularly the barges and tug boats, we weren’t sensitive to this last time. We stayed at this hotel in July 2023 on 6th floor ( same style rooms) too as the location on the river is really lovely and so easy to get around - Anantara have a courtesy boat shuttle to the centre of the city, every 30 minutes (I think) which is great! There is a large shopping mall across the road from the resort which is useful too.

Stayed 5 Nights (wish I could stay more) I like to go exploring the surrounding areas. Eat good, clean, cheap food, find a market and a bargain, and such. Now there is a 4 storey shopping mall in the complex, selling goods, foods and beverages, SuperRich money exchange, which is fantastic and touristy, but the surrounding suburb outside the hotel complex is QUIET. The hotel is a long way from anything. Taxi ride north to ICONSIAM about 10 minutes, but taking the free ferry ride is the best thing ever and totally worth it!! So relaxing (20-30 minutes)(last one at 8.30ish). Getting back at late night can have long wait for taxi. Not the hotels fault, but they encourage you to visit the place, and there is little else around the area. IconSiam is EXPENSIVE and very busy, but has heaps, so, so much!, of things to try and eat on the go. Restaurants were pricey but had excellent service and food and some of the best views in Bangkok. The ferry also drops you off right at Sapharn Taksin BTS, but if you are OUT LATE you will need a taxi back. Honestly, I would 100% stay here again. There is no need to venture far. This resort has everything you need and the prices are very reasonable.

Beautiful, well-maintained gardens, pool and surroundings. DEEP POOL! WILDLIFE! Excellent, attentive, staff fluent in ENGLISH. Quiet and relaxing. Excellent VIEW of the river. Away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. CLEAN, aromatic, facilities. They clean your room constantly and even turn down your sheets. DELICIOUS bakery, excellent food. I had the EXECUTIVE LOUNGE facilities. Wow! They handled everything for us. Free coffee and soft drinks any time. Alacarte breakfast, Buffet afternoon tea, Buffet supper with endless alcohol. No need for any other food. Beautiful, furnishing and atmosphere, and the best part were the STAFF who consistently went above and beyond to allow us to RELAX and ENJOY our holiday.

The lounge facility and kids club was amazing-the days when we didn’t feel like leaving the resort, our daughter had the best time at the lounge and kids club. The staff at this resort are friendly and provided an exceptional service. It was a bonus to have caring staff, who love kids and enjoyed entertaining them; especially grateful for their service when we wanted to grab a bite to eat and they took the time to look after our child (keeping her entertained and occupied with stories and games). Loved the resort and overall experience.

The spa was beautiful but expensive. Spa music would have been nice.

Although my room size wasn't huge, it had everything I needed and it was all very thoughtfully arranged. I absolutely loved my stay; the pool was fantastic, and there was a nice deep section in addition to the more family-focused end. Great food and dinner entertainment that was different every night I stayed there. Everything was beautiful, and having the boat right there was convenient for exploring the city and its surroundings. All staff were genuinely pleasant and very accommodating, got a 2pm check out without a fuss.
