Everything felt like home. We could rent a bike with very cheap price, not to mention the owner did give us extra time non-chargable. We could wash and dry clothes, there was a really friendly and shy staffs that was ready to help you with everything you needed. The room is cozy, big enough for 2 people. With a kind of old school sofa I really like. So sad that I lost all of the photos I took here.

Hosts was always nice and helpfull, there was always a free snack available, same for coffee thee or water. They also have scooter rental wich were new scooters! Across the street is an very nice breakfast place (Vietnamees) only open for breakfasts. Also across the street is a foodmarket where mostly locals eat with lovely food and drinks!

Value for money is best at the place . It has everything i needed for my 5 day stay . Ammenities are what is advertised , i had a very comfortable and peaceful stay at Ban Pongphan . Very close to food shops and also the mall and weekend market I think what people love best about the place is also the warmth and care of the lovely host . They make you feel at home . I will never forget that the host made efdort to pick me up at 2am from the airport ,It means a lot to me .

The host were very helpful, full of information. Of course English not being their first language they would use Google translate and help us in every way. Tours, mall locations, Bazaar, food etc. If you want some food to cook, facility available for Breakfast or anything small. Great location to go anywhere.

The place is great and the hosts are AMAZING. Pongphan, his partner and Wong are spectacular, very friendly and always trying to make you feel at home, nothing bad to say. The bed is really comfy, you have free water and free snacks. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you very much for making sure that me and my partner had a lovely time.

A bit far from city center and bicycles were not very good. I rented one from a shop, which I was planning to do anyways. There’s always tuk tuks and grab to get around, not something I’d say would stop me from booking here again.

Staff super friendly and helpful. The bed is super comfy and the pillows were good too, that’s a must for me as a traveler.

The maid was excellent. She helped me with the washing machine and showed a great amount of kindness to make me feel welcome. It was unfortunate that the room was only available for 2 nights as I would have stayed longer.

The property is about 20 min walk to old city. 3 min walk to a night market, 5 min walk to a supermarket. Very convenient. The room is very spacious and clean. They restock water for us. They have laundry service that is very affordable. Even better is they have free bicycle rental. Amazing and friendly staff! Everything exceeded expectations!

Great place to stay for a short term close to the airport. The host and maid are very welcoming and helpful. You have everything you need for a comfortable stay - kitchen with a fridge, microvawe, kettle etc, table for work on laptop, sofa, aircon and fan. For that price I haven't expected much, so it was a nice surprise. The room was clean and comfortable. Also there are bikes available for rent - you don't need to search where to rent it, just pay and go. And the price is very cheap. If I'll need to stay again close to the airport in Chiang Mai - I'll stay here.

Appart from the super helpful and friendly hosts, I was impressed by their well equipped semi kitchenette. They also provided a spread of snax and fruit for the visitors to enjoy. The room was simply a pleasure to live in and we enjoyed the fact that they created small outdoor spaces with plants where you could sit near your room. The premises were well maintained and just pleasnt to be in, we could easily have stayed longer.

My stay was exceptional and felt like a second home. Thai people are already very friendly by nature, but Pongphan and his family were the epitome of kindness and hospitality. They were also extremely warm, helpful and accommodating. I could not have imagined better hosts. The room was spacious, clean and simply furnished, but had everything you needed. There is a dining area and a communal kitchen where you can cook for yourself. Free water bottles and also some snacks and fruits were provided for free which was really nice. Ban Pongphan is located in a quiet side street and is about a 15-20 minute walk from the old town. You can borrow bicycles for free, which I did nearly everyday. It was extremely convenient and great for exploring Chiang Mai. (Story time: Once my rear tire burst and I couldn't find anyone in town who could repair/replace it. I called Pongphan and he didn't hesitate to pick up the bike and brought me another one at the same time. I was really thankful for that.) You can also rent scooters for only 200 baht/24h. There is a 7eleven within a 2-3 minute walk and the Kadmanee Night Market in the other direction, where you can find cheap and super tasty, authentic Thai food. A stay with Pongphan and his family is truly a heartfelt recommendation. They made my stay perfect, so that I stayed in Chiang Mai for a whole week instead of a few days. If I travel to Chiang Mai again, I will definitely stay at Ban Pongphan!
