Lovely guesthouse, room was nice with comfy bed and air con worked well. The owner helped us arrange the slow boat and gave us the necessary paperwork. Everything was really smooth and would definitely recommend booking with them.

- We noticed half a lime in the bathroom when we checked in. We thought it was for fragrance or something (we later talked to someone else at the hotel who also had half a lime in their bathroom, so it wasn’t a mistake…) We dropped our bags off and when we came back there was a huge cockroach eating the lime… - By a bar, loud music but stopped by 10pm

Banging my head on the overhanging roof on floor 2.

We stayed for one night before getting the slow boat to Laos. The staff were organised and helpful. The room was tidy and had all that we needed. There was a table and chairs on the shared balcony with a very low overhanging roof that we repeatedly banged our head on. The bathroom was quite small and the shower seemed to wet everything in there when you used it. Conveniently located near shops, restaurant, market and ATM. A good stay for one night- except the sore head.

Excellent owner, did what he could to make it a great stay. He is also a taxi driver and can take you to the border control. The guesthouse is next door to an excellent pad Thai restaurant and across the street is the supermarket. A great stay!

Sadly the bathroom was not as good, the drain was not cleaned, had hair from previous tenants so was not really draining which we came to realize as the floor of the bathroom became a little pool while taking a shower, lol.. plus the breakfast options are very basic but it was optional for is so it’s completely fine, I just would not fully rely on it.

Convenient enough location (we didn’t do much in town to be honest, it was just a stop-over coming from Laos & heading to Chiang Rai). The value for money was pretty good, the room is lovely and bed very comfortable.

Ideal place to stay for crossing the border to/from Laos. Staff will help book your boat ticket and arrange transfer to the border. It's a beautiful building with a nice terrace and the town itself is nice for an overnight stop. For such a small town it has some surprisingly nice temples and good places to eat - highly recommend Cafe De Lao and the Pad Thai restaurant just a few doors down. Both easily as good as restaurants in Chiang Rai.

The bottom sheet on the bed was clean but I don’t think the duvet cover was clean. I slept in my silk sleeping bag liner. PillowsWere too big and hard and I used the pillowcase with some stuffing of clothing.

The owner was a very sweet man, friendly and very helpful. For $14 it was a good value to spend the night to catch the slow boat the next day. Quiet Neighborhood and neighboring guests.

Such a shame there was no breakfast on site. We went to the next door resort but the buffet was very average.

Lovely one night stop over. We felt very welcome and comfortable with our young children. The rooms were clean, stylish, compact and comfortable. Perfect for what we needed on our way through from Laos to Chiang Rai. We loved walking the local area, particularly along the Mekong and finding Cafe de Lao just up the road.

Do not buy the slow boat package here as it is overpriced. Just head to the border with a tuo tuo and then you can arrange everything in a cheaper way from there
