Access to the beach via a quite long way passing another resorts, many stairs, not suitable for people with mobility problems. The path to the beach closes at 7 p.m. which is rather early. In that way it is hardly possible to have dinner in one of the beach restaurants. I don't see the point why the door is closed in the night at all.

Wooden veranda facing the sea, Friendly staff

No toothbrush or mosquito repellants in the room. I think they're available on request but the housekeeping staff isn't available later in the evening so it was too late by the time I had gotten back to my room and realized I needed these. Stairs could be a challenge for some.

Beautiful property, comfortable room, nice pool and easy access to the beach by walking a few minutes down a set of stairs. Clean and well maintained pool overlooking the sea is a plus!

I personally don’t enjoy a firm mattress and this was quite firm! The restaurants/communal places felt quite old fashioned, not much atmosphere, but this could be a good thing if you want a calm place to be.

The most incredible location/setting. We arrived here after the craziness of Bangkok and it felt like paradise. Khao Lak can feel a bit super-touristy but this place, right on the edge, by the national park was a slice of calm, beauty and privacy. Each hut feels so private and peaceful and the trees and ocean surrounding are very very special. We struggled to leave this special place!

The location was really lovely. It felt like we were in tree houses above the sea. Only disappointment was that we had the cabins next to the pool so didn’t feel so private - the cabins further to the right are the ones to request, with amazing views over the sea. Easy 5min walk to an amazing beach with lots of choices of restaurants. You can eat in the hotel but the food looked fairly basic and we wanted to go out and explore Khao Lak. Definitley very good value for money. We didn’t really see any of the staff (you don’t need to) but reception were very friendly and check in was easy. It says no parking available but they let us leave our car in the drop off area and we happily parked there for three days. You. An also leave your car at the side of the road. The ‘no parking’ nearly stopped me booking - so don’t let it. If you have a car, make sure you spend a day at Memories Beach.

Needed comfortable padded seating on the balcony and more than 3 hangers. The resort is perched on the hillside so obviously lots of steps which were not a problem for us but maybe an issue for some.

Room 16 was spacious and had fantastic view across the bay. The jungle planting in front of the room attracted lots of birds and butterflies. Easy 2 minute access to a brilliant sandy beach.

Some parts of our room were a bit older, but overall it was fine. Very loud jungle noises in the evening, but they stop at nightfall. Breakfast is good but not much variety.

It was a bit tricky to reach the beach and the rest of the Khao Lak area, because the gate that gives a short cut closes after 18:00 so you have to walk back along the road.

We loved the setting among the big old trees of the National Park and the overall layout of the resort (with a sixties feel to it) build 'into' the forest with views over the ocean and the lovely cold pool. The rooms were nice, big beds and lovely balconies.

It's not a big problem, but personally I don't like sleeping with air conditioning (at least not in December), but blankets are too heavy if you don't use it

Nice bungalow with a beautiful sea view terrace. Via a staircase you can walk to the beach below (which is overlooked by several resorts and can therefore be quite crowded), or by hiring a motorbike visit many other beaches. For example a nice tour to Ko Kho Khao with a funny "long tail boat ferry" to cross of the river that separates the island from the mainland

Bit outdated but everything works well. No elevator so you have to use stairs twice a day minimum. Beach access a bit long way via another villas, so that was good for my daily routine.

I would suggest they have some more desert options on their menu or fruit shakes/smoothies. Another easy option would have a small icecream chest, and also a water refill station or larger 1L water bottles for sale. Just some basics on offer because it is located a bit further out. These are all suggestions for improvement. In response to some people's comments- the lighting in our Bungalow was fine, and you can comfortably access the beach until 6.30pm without a head torch.

We loved the jungle environment and the stunning water views from our Bungalow! Yes it is a bit out of the main resort areas- but if you are craving the authentic retreat in amongst lush greenery then this place is spot on. We were very comfortable in our Bungalow and the walk down to the beach is fine...its all very accessible if you're happy to climb a few steps!

American breakfast was not very good, can choose eggs any style but didn’t understand poached eggs, I got 2 soft boiled eggs still in shells. Pool nice location but water hard on eyes, toilet paper terrible, beds a little hard.

Beautiful location with nice authentic Thai villas overlooking bay. 5 minute walk to beach where there’s a few restaurants and bars. Beer very overpriced at 140 baht for small Chang, except for Andalay bar where it’s 140 for big Chang and the food there exceptional at reasonable price.

Read before they give smoking rooms to non-smoker in reviews. So I requested a non smoking room day before. Respond via booking message system was "Noted". At the end I got a room with terrible smell where someone smoked before. This should not happen and need urgent improvement by the management.

Comfy bed, bathtub and nice pool.
