The AC in the room made the whole place smell damp and the beds were a little hard, also the hotel is on top of a very steep hill which made it difficult to want to just go out for a walk through the streets of Kata every day however they did offer a shuttle bus every 30 mins down there but this is the only issues we had.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast buffet was also good with plenty of options.

Rooms need some TLC, bathrooms are a little worn and could use some love. Aircon temperature can’t be changed (set at 21) as it creates condensation in the rooms causing moister and wet tiles. My son and husband both slipped, my toddler ended up with bruises up his spine. The staff did let us know it was due to us increasing the aircon temperature (to 24) and they were quick to dry the floors. The rooms were freezing (for us at least, maybe it’s just the Queenslander in us) Shuttle bus service could run a little later into the evening.

Great little resort for young families. Amazing customer service, the staff were fantastic went above and beyond always. Shuttle service down to the beach and back was great, it’s a steep walk up! Buffet breakfast was great, plenty of variety. Pools were big and cool, kids waterpark needs some TLC but other than that it’s a fantastic area for kids. Kids club kept my toddler entertained, he loved it. Gym is small but there is enough for a workout. Big rooms, big bathroom, big balcony and comfortable bed. Long happy hour at pool bar and restaurant. Restaurant has a large variety of food which. Staff were amazing with my toddler he loved seeing them and greeting them in the few Thai words he had learnt.

The only issue we had was the air conditioner was pre-set to 20 degrees and couldn’t be adjusted. Also the mattress topper was pretty old and flat that it was very uncomfortable to sleep on. The other issue was most staff lacked to speak or understand English.

The restaurant in evenings was 😕 (We tried it once and found hair in 3 out of 4 served meals, and two of the things we ordered they didn't have on the current day). The food was rather expensive and did not measure up to the taste. There was quite a bit of noise in the early morning from the neighboring hotel 😕

The breakfast was excellent 😊 The staff (cleaning, restaurant, reception etc.) were ALL really helpful and kind. Everyone working on Novotel are so friendly. Cleaning was awesome Shufflebus to the Kata Beach was great 💡We recommend using the taxi drivers outside the hotel. Look for a car (Honda Civic I think) with Gold rims he's really kind and trustworthy and we used him several times.

I just did not understand / appreciate the dinner component for our package. Lots of rules that was confusing and not explained on booking.com vs hotel's version. Be aware for those booking breakfast / dinner combination package.

Apple was fantastic!!! She was attentive to our need from the get go. She is amazing and made the stay worthwhile!

No toilet near the gym and pool area. Had to walked many times to the wash room located at the basement of the Restaurant!

Like: Staff especially Chopper at reception that checked us in and the pool staff Ms. Lai made good cocktails of which my wife and I enjoyed the entire cocktail Menu in 2 days! Also, Ms Mod and Ms Amy at the pool cocktail reception. And our housemaid Ms Fern did a good job keeping our room clean everyday of our stay. Location: Just a short distance away to Kata town, we can find all amenities like restaurant, bars, 7Eleven, Night Market etc.

In this price i would assume breakfast need to be part of it. The humidity was high, and the floor was wet all the time - they told us only at our last day that to avoid it we should keep the AC on 23 degree.

The rooms are dated. I couldn’t use the balcony because there were mosquitoes swarming outside.

Staff were awesome. I left my cardigan there and they kept it for me until I got it picked up a couple of days later.

The mattress was a little uncomfortable, they may need updating in the future. And the lack of lifts is at times a bit weary. But overall we loved this resort and would return.

The staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was always delicious, plenty of food options. The property is a little a little dated but it is really well kept, the rooms are very clean and the pool area is maintained beautifully. The resort is in a Fantastic location, close to shops, the beach and night market. It is on top of a hill but they offer a shuttle bus service to the beach which you can use to get back up the hill if it’s too bigger walk.

pretty disappointed this is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Something between 3 stars. The pool is dirty, kids area very outdated. Rooms are smelly, cover on my pillow was stinky. The people(guests)in the hotel are so noisy, banging and running and screaming aroung at late hours. I booked the place for 6 nights but only slept 1 night so leaving very very exhausted.
