The property has a variety of pools and it’s generally very clean, even the public toilets. The staffs are also very nice and patient.

SpainI guess that due to the weather of some other reasons there was not much to do outside the hotel: no excursions, no diving... There were not even the boats available that we had enjoyed in previous visits.
One of the best assets is the beach bar where Kwan was really nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good but gets pretty crowded; the room with the private pool was nice and convenient. The location just on the beach is excellent.

This is my second visit to Avani + Khao Lak two years in a row. This is now my therapeutic retreat for me and my family. My kids are so in love with the place especially the kids club. I was so happy to see that most of the staff that I met last year are still at the resort and working tirelessly to keep up with all their guests’ requests. Please keep up this great work you’re all doing and I’ happy this year I was lucky to enjoy a less rainy weather and swam at the beach most of my stay.

The beach is clean & not crowded, the beach house dinner was ok. The kids palace is pretty good, our kids enjoyed it.

AustraliaThree pools but pool towels were only distributed from one location and there was no obvious drop off spot so it was always messy. Using the tv with the Chromecast provided was useless (and I use Chromecast at home!). Cleaners neglected to fully close the door of my room on more than one occasion.
Staff were friendly, rooms were large, plenty of options at breakfast. Nice to have a choice of pools. Beachfront was lovely. Close to some lovely, local restaurants and bars.

The hotel was stunning! The grounds were incredible. Walking through the grounds through well thought out pool design where the tiling was in keeping with the theme of being in the jungle is not a sentence I ever thought I would write about a hotel. The experience was a delight. We brought our son to Thailand ti celebrate his first birthday and this hotel was the perfect place. Great friendly staff, the reception staff were fantastic at helping me rent a car and then change the rental to take the car further afield for longer. The breakfast buffet was incredible and catered for all! Again, the staff were incredible. We have a 1 year old who makes a huge mess and we offer to clean up but it wasn’t allowed. Our room was a great layout. The two doors to bathroom worked a treat when putting a child to bed. We would definitely stay again and I have already suggested this hotel to friends. Although it is out of the way and I agree that renting a car/bike is advised, it is more about how you choose holiday here. You could stay here and never leave and have a great time. That’s just not our thing. Great restaurants when you go to the beach and turn left. Mr Bao’s is great. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel apart from the following: This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

IsraelPerfect place in Khao Lak for relaxed vacation with the kids. Everything is with attention to detail and in high quality. The room is big with 2 specious bathrooms. Breakfast has variety of choices. Food in restaurants is very good. Spa treatments are wonderful. Please note that this is a stay-in hotel, because it is on isolated place. The private beach is beautiful

ThailandThe only negative is that it is hard to get around outside the resort. We didn't have much issue because we rented a car, but if you arrived by taxi or other modes of public transportation, you will find it difficult to get around the area because the resort is outside the main Khao Lak area.
This is a great resort for families. There are plenty of activities (kid zone, kid pool area with slide, rock climbing wall, etc.) for children of all ages. Highly recommended if you can make your way to Khao Lak.

Extremely professional and friendly staff. The resort is huge, but never gives you that crowded feeling. No rush for food, sunbeds, etc. Fitness, Kids club, Spa all top notch.

United Kingdomnot the resort’s fault but the monsoon brought out tons of jellyfish and loud frogs that sounded like a mob of geese. We still had a great time using the pools.
Spacious rooms Kind and helpful staff. Nana at breakfast was great with my baby, Toh at the poolside bar went over and above and Wat in the buggy team was friendly and welcoming. Lovely beach. Kids club and splash pool are both great! Great games room too. Helpful app to book housekeeping, order room service, call a buggy to get around the resort etc
