A lot of big mosquitos in the evening. But, they are only out for a few hours.

Love the atmosphere, the peace & quiet. The room is very comfortable and private. Great breakfast and coffee. The staff are very attentive and helpful. Good location, can walk around the town very easily. Really recomnend this place

No share in the room. Difficult for us to sit on the floor.

Hotel is beautiful with artistic design. Surrounding areas are quiet and blending with nature. Staff are nice and helpful.

The location of Athita is very special as it is adjacent to a temple. Chiang Saen itself still retains the quiet old town atmosphere. It was very relaxing. We stayed in one of the spacious villas and felt at home. We were there for the Thailand Biennale. All of the exhibits were inspiring and well placed. Recommend to start at Chiang Saen before Chiang Rai and other venues.

The pool area could use some attention. It is not very inviting and has no sun. Perhaps they could create a lounge area someplace outside.

The atmosphere of this hotel is very pleasant. I would love to go again. The bed was very good (not too hard, just right and comfy). The food was excellent. The tuktuk hotel tour was lovely.

To be honest, there was nothing at all to dislike! Depending on your comfort level, everything is close to the ground as with buildings of this nature and architecture, e.g. sleep close to the floor, bags on the floor, etc. which I personally prefer but my partner didn’t as much. The pool is intimate and sufficient for a relaxing time but some may find too small. You may hear sounds from the cafe as the chairs are loud depending on your room location, but also not a big deal as they don’t interfere with sleep, etc.

Loved our stay here so much and wished we stayed a day more! The space was beautifully designed and has a heartwarming story behind it. Public spaces were very cosy, and the rooms were so relaxing and comfortable, we slept really well every night 🥰 the staff were also friendly and we had great chats with them about Chiang Saen. Last but not least, the food was DELICIOUS ❤️ location-wise, it’s ideal for a short stay, walking distance to the weekend market and pier for long-tail boat trips! Would love to be back as soon as the next opportunity arises, thank you so much to the team for making our stay so enjoyable!

Rooms were dark, had a very inconvenient step in the middle of the room, very little storage, no bedside table, and no chairs. It was more akin to an indoor camping set up. Advertised as having bikes. These were not safe ( flat tyres, brakes not working, seat adjustment bolts broken, not lubricated) so not safe or suitable to ride on, despite the fact that there is a good bike repair shop 500 metres away! A major factor in selecting this hotel was availability of bikes. Left us with little to do during our stay, as there is very limited transport. Food very expensive at the hotel, but some good places to eat nearby.

Interesting architecture, located very centrally and quiet, safe . Helpful staff. Huge very comfortable bed.?

We think the pricing is a bit steep. We did not appreciate the extra 725 baht fee for our son who is 4 years old—understandably there would be a fee for an extra breakfast but aside from that in every other hotel in Thailand kids his age stay for free. It is lovely that the hotel is right next to an old temple, however I think given the hotel is capitalizing on that aspect they should give back to the old temple spirits by offering to clean up its grounds, do a bit of around it by planting trees and flowers, leaving offerings at the old Buddha. It felt neglected.

This is the most stunning place we stayed in all our time travelling through Thailand. The architecture is award winning. The wood smells amazing. The bricks resonate with the old city style. We felt we were in a nourishing environment. And the restaurant is amazing - Michelin star at a good price considering the quality. Best farang and Thai food we’ve had. The location is perfect, right in the old city beside the Mekong night food stalls and near many old temples as well as the weekly market. I’ve lived in Chiang Saen before and this is the next location you can get.

Breakfasts could be better. To our taste the choice was very limited as we were not used to eat Tai dishes for breakfast and found them too heavy to eat in the morning. Other things that we tried didn’t taste good and it was very unfortunate that they didn’t have at least one option for a plant milk for coffee. I hope that management will take into consideration the fact that many people are lactose intolerant, cow milk is bad for health and environment in general and will include at least one, better 3+ options for vegan milk.

It’s a very nice authentic hotel, probably one of the best in the area. I liked that everything was made of wood, so it felt very natural and eco friendly. Service was good too and we liked the restaurant in the hotel.

Soundproofing really bad, basically your schedule is going to follow whoever comes with a loud jumpy kid. Also the washroom design in our room is bad. No ventilation and separation possible. Unless you live by yourself, don't book the first floor.

Amazing design. Hidden behind ancient relics. Great use of sunlight and shadow by the architect. Staff amazing and accommodating for our hardship and special request.

The hotel is hidden in the middle of Chiang Saen. The location is perfect for strolling along the Mekong. The hotel offers numerous activities (we did the offering to the monks at sunrise). The food is fenomenal. The design is amazing and really encourages a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel staff are very professional and helpful. We can't wait to come back.

only one thing which concern is the privacy when you use the toilet in your room because it has only the clear glass. it may be not the big problem for foreign tourists but in Thai culture it may the point that in our family concern.

great hotel's location in Chiang San which you can easily visit market, temple and museum. they have good srvice mind staff and very clean room, and also their breakfast is amize.
