Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandThings to improve - display a clear no smoking sign on balconies so guests who are not aware will be informed on the non smoking policy. More flexibility with shuttle booking - without having to book every time and especially the return shuttle because it's hard to estimate when one will be coming back. The hotel is located on the steep hill, it's not that bad as others say but it's definitely a workout. It would help to have the garden beach access pathway cleaned on a regular basis to make it more accessible and pleasant to use - it's faster to go down and back than using the road.
We extended our stay so I've copied my previous review here. This is a very special resort in Kata area - quiet, away from the bustle and craziness of Kata but close enough to walk to the beach and the centre. It's located amongst green gardens with fragrant frangipani trees with spectacular terrace view onto the beach. The pools are clean and very relaxing. The rooms are updated, clean and very spacious. The staff is very nice and polite, accommodating and understanding. We stayed during low season so the resort was not busy. The guests are multinational and because of the location the resort does not get many Russian tourists or families with kids so it's quiet, relaxed and the vibe is more boutique and elegant. Breakfasts are very nice, tasty, with plenty of choice of hot meals, different every day, suitable for vegetarians. The hotel has no smoking policy in the rooms and balconies so it is very very good - there's a dedicated smoking area in the gardens. We were very satisfied with our stay and considering the unappealing and busy Kata area this hotel is perhaps the best choice for those who are looking for something quiet and away from mass consumerism. We got a room upgrade which was very nice - the room was overlooking the gardens with partial see view and it was bright and pleasant. The hotel offers a shuttle to the beach and back. The hotel organised an event during our stay to promote sustainability, there is many displays around the hotel to raise guests awareness of the food waste, especially during breakfast, about the water conservation and recycling so it's a positive gesture as well.

The rooms have central AC so it's inconvenient to use it at night because there is no remote control to regulate the temperature. But so far it's been like that in all the hotels we stayed in Phuket so probably it's how it's done here.

PolandThe only thing perhaps is the hill that you need to climb when you miss the shuttle back from the beach.
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The area is quiet and away from the road noise but close enough to walk to the centre and beach. The room was clean - it was located on the ground floor so a bit more darker. The gardens are very nice, lots of frangipani trees around the pools, the place has a very nice vibe, not touristy but more like a boutique. The breakfast was very good - lots of options, tasty and good quality food. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Highly recommended. There was a power cut in the building where we were staying and the staff moved us to a different room. There is a shuttle to the beach, which is very convenient.

AustraliaIt lacks that love, care and attention to detail that you might expect at such a good facility. Breakfast is not great.
Pool is amazing, views are breathtaking, cocktails at sunset on the loungers, conversation pit at the top pool. Staff friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe hotel needs more attention to detail. There were broken sun loungers with some wood and screws sticking out. Door could not lock onto the balcony from the bathroom. Rooms on the 3rd floor have no elevator and 6 flights of stairs. The breakfast was terrible If they made some small changes and made the breakfast much better it could be an amazing hotel but it sticks in the 3 Star range for me due to that. The room service I orders was also terrible. Overcooked pasta. terrible pizza and even the starters were awful. Having said that I would return but would book without breakfast and would not eat there.
Lovely pool area and great views. Rooms are good size and the spa pool was a nice touch on the balcony

United KingdomI thought it a little petty being charged for a face flannel that my wife got makeup on.
Very welcoming and helpful staff. Very clean in the room and communal areas. The poolside restaurant good though a little slow at times. The breakfast is great and caters for varied tastes. The location is nicely placed just out of the main beach area which means there is a lovely view and somewhat quieter. The sea view room was definitely worth the extra though if not too fit the stairs could cause a problem.

RomaniaWhen checking-in, the staff is requesting you to pay 3.000 THB as deposit which I recommend paying them in cash in order to get them back at check-out. I didn't have them in cash so I paid by card and now, after a week since we checked-out, they still didn't refund me the money - it takes up to 2 weeks, as I have been told by the staff.
The room was really big, clean and comfortable. The mini-bar had everything you needed, which was great. The breakfast was good, had some new elements each morning. The pool and the garden are really beautiful. Overall speaking, it is a good deal in Kata Beach.

AustraliaThe staff were sometimes not very easy to communicate with, and unfortuntely they seemed to not have enough staff working on the day we checked in. Which meant they didn't have our room ready on time. They did let us use the pool while we waited.
The room was great, it was large and spacious, very comfortable bed, and we had a chaise lounge and a breakfast table, also outside we had a balcony with a beach day bed connecting to the pool. The bathroom was big and very clean. TV had more than 100 channels including HBO and other really good movie channels.

United KingdomWater pressure was an issue as the suite is on the top floor so the water supply to shower, tap and jacuzzi was intermittent. No lift to the suite so have to go up several flights of stairs. The buffet breakfast in the resort is mediocre for a five star hotel.
The suite was spacious with a fabulous sea view. The staff were polite and friendly.

United KingdomBreakfast was included in our stay however very limited breakfast only had it the once. The location is on a hill so walking up the hill is very challenging especially in the heat. No lifts in the resort mainly due to the open space and it being on a hill but staff were very supportive with the luggage.
I booked the honeymoon suit, it was spacious and comfortable. The pool area is great. Shuttle service to the beach was convenient
