excellent hotel to travel with family. Gorgeous surroundings, secluded location. Everything is new &clean. Loved the salt water in the swimming pool at the spa. The kids area is safe, well equipped, the kids swimming pool also has salt water. The staff is careful

The hotel restaurants are expensive. The food was great, but overpriced.

The hotel staff was very helpful, from booking to payment to hosting throught the stay. Anna was our villa host and she was very attentive and helpful with everything we needed. Having a dedicated staff member "on call" is really a game changer. The hotel itself is new and well maintained, kids friendly, nice pools.

The only thing that was problematic for us was the water temperature in both the main pool and our private pool. They moved us to another room which was a lot better but still on the main pool, the water was just kind of hot and not refreshing which is a bit of a let down in Thailand. If not for this, it could have been a perfect 10 for us. That being said, we will definitely come back next time we're in Thailand.

First of all, the hotel is gorgeous!! Everything is spot on, brand new and beautiful. Our room was spacious, very clean and relaxing. The staff was amazing, and I'd like to point out Anna, our villa host who was amazing and took care of all of our needs within seconds. She definitely made our stay a lot more comfortable and relaxing, so thank you for that! Food was great as well. The location is also beautiful with stunning views and super peaceful. There are some restaurants and massages within walking distance. It's such an amazing hotel and I completely recommend it!

for the building material, it would be nice if 20-30% lower in room rate , drainage a bit slow but didn’t cause flood. Best option in the island.

Newly build, good facility and beaches. very suitable for family with children. and couples too. Friendly and helpful stuff. very delicious breakfast with lots variety. family pool and beaches are awesome. beach is clean and can swim, water is clean. sands powdery. ask the reception or check the tide and jelly fish season. best hotel on the island.

The location to face the low tide - if you look for a swimming all day long this is not possible. Also the fridge in the room was not cooling down as it should.

We did feel that the hotel was a little too quiet in the evening and needed something to add a little more atmosphere. We had different departure plans from most guests, which I repeatedly reminded staff about, but our luggage was still sent to the wrong place. However, these things happen and the staff worked hard to remedy the situation and communicated well.

This stunning hotel is new and pristine. The grounds are perfectly landscaped, the pool is lovely, and the overall aesthetic is fabulous. The hotel sits on a quiet beach with an island view, and at low tide, you can walk out in shallow, warm waters. Koh Yao Yai is relatively close to the Hong Islands, and we enjoyed a memorable day exploring them. We stayed in a Lagoon Villa, which was chic and comfortable, with a beautiful tropical garden. The staff are so lovely and do all they can to deliver a high service. This is most definitely a luxurious five star hotel.

We had to wait for 2.5hours for the boat transfer because we missed the previous one by 3min. A bit frustrating when you know it’s their own boat, we warned them, and we ended up alone in the boat … The restaurants were a bit unimpressive, quite a few average dishes and most waiters would struggle to speak english. The overall level of service was disappointing compared to the luxury of the facilities

The facilities are great, the room is big with a view pn the beach. 2 large pools, a big gym.

    - Transfer from Krabi airport is ridiculously expensive (approx 17,000 baht). We had to book the local ferry and taxi ourselves, which was not super easy and took some extra time (there are only about 3 departures per day). But refused to pay that much for transfer. It should be included since the hotel is located on a island! - Cleaning was sloppy (dirty towels were not changed and floors were often dirty) and often we didn't get the room cleaned until late in the afternoon (around 4-5pm). Exactly when we got up from the pool/beach and wanted to prepare for the evening. - When we were about to check out, the staff was extremely confused about our transfer. They called repeatedly and claimed that we had not booked a transfer (which we had) and gave incorrect information that confused even us. - We booked a taxi through the hotel to Leam Had Beach. The taxi would wait for us there and then drive us back to the hotel again (this was confirmed by both the hotel and the driver). But when we were going back to the "parking lot" after 2.5 hours, the taxi had gone and left us. Stood for 40 minutes in the scorching sun before hotel manage to send a new driver to pick us up. Lucky we had cell phones (and connection) with us! Never received any explanation or apology regarding this.. - The pool area consists of a lot of concrete. We would have liked a little more "green and exotic feeling". - Spa prices are very high compared to other 5 star hotels we have stayed at in Thailand.

    - Fantastic breakfast - one of the best I've had! The food and service was great except in the pool bar (small portions, the staff was quite confused and often forget things in the order and it often took too long to get the food). - We also loved our room, it was so spacious, beautiful seaview and everything felt new and modern. - We did two two island hopping tours (booked trough the hotel) and the guide (Joe) was great! - The hotel is very quiet and peaceful (many families with children). They have no entertainment in the evenings and everything closes at 10.30pm. There is not much to do on the island either. This is of course okay, but if you want more hustle and bustle I would not recommend staying here.

The beach was very nice during high tide but lost its glory at low tide. Breakfast options could have been more diverse and vegetarian friendly.

Location at a lagoon with a long duration low tide. Essentially often almost no water but lots of muddy sand near the hotel beach, and plenty of washed up yellyfish. Hotel is brand new and understaffed. Check-in is slow. But beautiful.

What massively lets this place down however is the majority of the staff. At breakfast we found that it was incredibly unorganized. There were so many staff members everywhere that they were ultimately no-where. None of them were appointed zones, coffees took ages to be served. Tables quickly got dirty and took a while to be cleared. The breakfast itself was mediocre. Additional all prices within the hotel were actually disgustingly overpriced with the food quality being pretty poor. We ended up renting a motorbike and having dinner outside of the hotel. I wouldn't be surprised if, the staff situation isn't resolved, what could be a paradise will quickly go downhill with no-one wanting to stay there.

The property itself is undeniably beautiful. Right on the beachfront, with cleverly layered design so that nearly all rooms had a sea view. We were lucky enough to be upgraded was given a beachfront villa which honestly was the most beautiful room we ever stayed in. The room was HUGE. Honestly the size of a large apartment. There was a small kitchenette, separate HUGE dining/living room, walk-in wardrobe and humongous bathroom with marble bath and huge shower and toilet as well as asseverate guest toilet. As part of our stay, we were given a host Tiya who was really lovely and was always willing to help but she was the only one.
