Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe one thing that really surprised us for the standard of hotel that the Anana is, was the thinness of the walls and how much you could hear absolutely everything in the neighbouring rooms. We had been travelling Thailand for 5 weeks when we arrived at Anana and stayed in countless different hotels and the Anana was the most luxurious of our stays so far. For this reason it was a bit of a shock to hear so much compared to our time in other lower cost hotels that actually had very good sound proofing. I am not referring to noisy neighbours, just people conducting normal life in the next room, we could even hear full conversations and when they were in the shower etc. I think it must be a greater issue because I overheard another family at breakfast talking about the same problem and it interrupting sleep.
A really beautiful hotel set in a peaceful location, Anana is really well appointed and the staff throughout are lovely and friendly and helpful. The rooms are bright, very nicely decorated and really clean with a beautiful bathroom that had the best shower pressure we came across in all our travels. Fab pool with a swim up bar that offers happy hour on cocktails in the afternoon. We took the half board option which was really worth paying that little bit more for. I personally couldn’t find any information on what half board offered/included prior to booking (even on their official website) but took the plunge anyways. I can now say it offers excellent value for money with 3 courses included every evening. There is a really good selection of both western and asian options and generous portions, most evenings we actually declined the dessert because we were so full. For children they get a main course and an ice cream dessert. Drinks are paid for separately. I feel that this should be detailed in the information because the quality and value for money is excellent. After travelling northern Thailand we were disappointed with the quality of food in general in Krabi but the food at Anana made up for this.

United StatesWe paid for full board and I honestly do not think it made sense costwise. Full board is not like an all inclusive, as it does not include cocktails, and it only applies at mealtimes, for which you order from a more limited menue. This was dissapointing, so I would suggest not opting for full board and just paying for meals as you eat them or going elsewhere to eat. The food was fine, but not the best thai food we had in the region.
This resort is beautiful and kept in a wonderful state of cleanliness. We only spent one day here, but we wish we would have spent a little bit more time here. It is set away from the busy streets and tourist center, so it is the perfect place to relax and soak in the quiet. The spa was amazing and the cocktails were fantastic.

IrelandNothing we didn’t like. The shuttle doesn’t run at certain hours, one at 8pm would have been great.
Anana was our favourite hotel of our trip to Thailand. All of the staff took such great care of us, especially Kirk! Beautiful room, comfortable bed, really enjoyed the food and views from the rooftop at sunset. Also really appreciated the comfortable sun chairs by the pool. We used the airport transfer which was seamless, shuttle to Ao Nang was very convenient. We also booked some great tours through the hotel which worked out perfectly. Overall we had a great time. Hope to return in the future.

United KingdomHaving to leave and say goodbye to everyone :(((
The Anana Ecological Resort was our enchanting home away from home, enveloped by natural beauty & breathtaking scenery. We initially planned to stay in Krabi for one week during our extended Southeast Asia trip, but we were so captivated by The Anana Resort, its staff & the surrounding nature that we extended our stay twice, ultimately staying for a total of three weeks. From the moment we arrived and each day thereafter, we were welcomed with radiant smiles from the reception staff-Hassan, Nubdao, and Varut. Hassan's smile, in particular, would light up the room. As seasoned travellers, we can confidently say that Hassan is the most genuinely warm-hearted reception staff members we have ever met. Wolfgang, the co-owner of this splendid establishment, is an exceptionally gracious man. He, his wife & the staff, treated us with the utmost care as long-term guests, & on our final night, Wolfgang invited us for an unforgettable dinner at the resort's rooftop restaurant. The food was exquisite, with many ingredients lovingly sourced from the hotel's own garden farm. The chef’s signature dish, a beef massaman curry is a must have for any meat eating curry enthusiast. Our room was an upper pool access room. A spacious, clean haven of cool, quiet comfort, serviced daily by the fun & happy housekeeping staff, Adam & Da. Anana Resort is a living testament to the vision and dedication of Wolfgang & his lovely wife, who both have illustrious careers in the food & hotel industry. Their philosophy, business model, & heartfelt care for their guests, staff & the local community are the foundation of this thriving sanctuary. Treat yourself to a stay at The Anana Ecological Resort & experience firsthand the future of the hotel industry. Our time there was nothing short of magical, & when we return to Krabi, we know exactly where we will lay our hats.

MalaysiaIt is far from the beach or city center by walking, but if you communicate the travel better to board the shuttle bus, you can avoid walking under the sun.
This is an amazing five star stay at a great value. The view is great and I enjoyed the bathtub and pool. The amenities are all provided, staff is friendly and it is one of my best stays. They have happy hour cocktail discounts and the food at the sky bar is delicious, and they provide all facilities like beach towels and umbrellas. They also offer yoga classes. There is also a shuttle bus to town and back at certain hours. It’s a very relaxing stay and you can just be in the hotel the entire time without going anywhere else.

SlovakiaIn the parking lot there were open grate sewers and the smell was unpleasant.
We were pleasantly surprised to discover this place. It's now low season and the price you offered was very attractive. On top of it booking.com gave us an upgrade so we had a spa suite room. The room was huge including a soaking tub. The staff were warm helpful and professional. We were impressed with the welcoming staff who greeted us. One of the girls who greeted us is named Fern. The hotel facilities were clean, especially the pool. I enjoyed their choice of mineral water as chlorine is not environmentally friendly. The hotel tries to be eco friendly...no individual shampoo, glass vs. water bottles, etc. They also have a nice rooftop lounge area restaurant where you can just see a beautiful sunset against the mountains or rock formations that Krabi is famous for The morning breakfast buffet was fantastic, it's the most variety I've ever eaten and many healthy choices as well. They have a flower and vegetable garden that that they have used in their cooking but because of the very hot temperatures this year I think they weren't able to harvest as much on site. We'd love to return one day.

United KingdomThe room was a little bit on the smaller side but not an issue for us. The toilets..If you are with someone you are not familiar with, there’s not a lot of privacy sound wise. Also, this was mostly our fault however we didn’t realise there was an additional pool around the side so missed this the whole trip - probably could have been pointed out by staff. The hotel is tucked away quite remote however there is a shuttle that runs every hour and grab is easily accessible so was never an issue. We also noticed the walls are quite thin - we could hear the person in the room next to us snoring through the night (possible a loud snorer however we didn’t hear too much apart from this)
The property was beautiful, the room was extremely clean and well put together. The lobby was also lovely. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was the best we’ve had since being in thailand, a mixture of everything. nice views from the hotel room.

We upgraded our room to a pool access room, the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. We had a shuttle leaving the hotel every hour to the beach area and pick up as well every hour.
