Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The hosts are a lovely couple. Pick up and drop off is available and without any problems. I had an amazing room with its own bath and a very comfy bed. There are plenty of little restaraunt and street vendors very close by (unlike mentioned by others) and all taste great. Local 7/11 also around the corner. Nice little pool to have a dip in and free tea/coffee etc supplied.

ThailandI stay at Alley51 every time I pass through Surat Thani. It's conveniently located near the bus depot, and the night market is a quick 5 minute ride, or 20 minute walk, away. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms always clean with everything I need for the night. I'll be back!

The staff on duty, MD, was very friendly and very helpful. My room was upgraded from twin beds to a double bed, and he took me to the bus station the next morning (the bus station isn't very far at all, had I known I could've walked, but I appreciated his help!).

ChinaThe bed and floor is not very clean. The bathroom only has a small window near the ceiling without a fan to exchange air, which makes the floor of the bathroom slow to dry.
Decoration is simple but looks good. The bed is supportive. The ceiling is high.

first impressions were great. I was exhausted after long travel and being screwed around by ferry companies. I arrived and was created from the taxi door. I was told to relax and bring the passport whenever I was ready. this was. a huge relief for my tired self. I told them of my travel plans early the next day and was told they would drive me free of charge to the bus station at 6am. so generous. it really helped out my stress at ease. big spacious room for the price. good shower. comfy, bright and spacious. good internet. aircon. happy to stay there
