The rooms are not very well soundproofed and you could hear noise coming from other rooms and the corridor.

The location is excellent. Our room had a lovely view, was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was nice; small but satisfying selection. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

You need to resolve the luggage delivery. It is unrealistic to expect seniors and older adults to drag their luggage from parking lots through the steep, bumpy streets and hoist bags up the narrow set of steps without assistance. Also, there should be dedicated parking space for hotel guests, which is well communicated and signed. This can easily be made part of the reservation request for guests travelling with a car.

The staff were exceptional. We all got sick and the staff took extra care to prepare elaborate food for us to help when we were not able to get out of the room ourselves. The location was great and P6 parking was only 3 minutes away.

We didn't understand how difficult it would be to park and drag our bags to the hotel. Parking in the preferred public lot#6 was never possible due to its small size. It was always full. So we parked in public lot#7 which is further away. But instead of walking along the street, there is a pedestrian path that doesn't require as much trudging up and down the steep roads. We didn't know about it until last day of our stay. Getting our bags to/from the hotel was the hardest part for us. We ended up only bringing essentials to our room and leaving our larger bags in our car. Room wasn't big enough to manage those larger bags anyway. But really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a breakfast room if you're up early enough to enjoy it. We weren't - still jetlagged from our flights to Italy. That breakfast room was a beautiful space

Great location to explore the city. Loved the room we stayed in, very nicely presented, very quiet and spacious. We had a small balcony with views over the city and countryside. Breakfast was adequate. Staff pleasant.

Great reasonably priced small hotel in the heart of San Marino. Nice breakfast offerings. We had a small terrace that was quite nice.

You can't reach the hotel by car as it is in a ZTL (zona trafico limitato), and there is no reserved parking place. Parking P6 and P7 are the most close by. We found a place on P7 = about 400m from the hotel.

The hotel is located in the centre of the old town. It has all facilities one can wish.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the old town. Our room was very clean with amazing views over the Appenines. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious! I thoroughly recommend La Grotta for a very relaxing vacation.

We had a balcony room which had a wonderful view over the countryside/city views. Inside the wall town and was easy to locate and close to all places of interest. Excellent breakfast and a very reasonable restaurant just next door. Highly recommend a visit to San Marino - so clean / no graffiti / people friendly / no hawkers Was a pleasure to visit
