Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

LithuaniaBeautiful villa surrounded with wine grapes and olive tree gardens. Exceptional attention to the details, interior is very cosy. Hotel administration staff is super friendly and welcoming - you literally feel like coming home here. Rooms are spacious and have stunning views from the windows. The bed is big and comfy. Everything is sparkling clean. There are plenty of nice spaces to have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine - a beautiful garden with many nice spots to relax. The breakfast deserves special praise - a beautifully served table, the food is very tasty. Superb hotel - it will add a nice touch for a stay in this beautiful country 🏞

United StatesVilla Majda is one of our top (if not best) experiences while traveling. The staff support was phenomenal, from suggesting great hikes, connecting us with local wineries, and helping us with some logistical issues. The breakfast was phenomenal and the dinner was unique and delicious. The rooms were spacious and lovely.

United StatesStaff is professional but also friendly and unpretentious, the property itself is a perfect balance of rustic and stylish with lots of cool hangout spots, peaceful location among olive groves with all the coastal cities nearby, extravagant breakfast. It was a great stay in a recently renovated farm. The staff was very friendly and provided all kinds of extras. It is recommended for anyone who likes a quiet location, yet it is close to Koper and Piran. The breakfast was amazing... We'll be back ;-)

My husband and I visited the place at the end of June. The villa itself is gorgeous, authentic, rooms are beautiful, spacey and incredibly clean, with design elements that make it really very cozy and special. The location is remote, which we love, the staff was very helpful, Misha and Stanko and the breakfast and dinner cooks in particular. It is very rare to find such good service, kindness, and really paying attention to every single detail to make our stay enjoyable. Everyone went out of their way to help and make our holiday really special. The culinary experience is a must try. We were impressed every evening by the dishes, they were so well presented and simply delicious, fine dining at its best, we were really dazzled by the experience. We were there for a week, and every night it was a fantastic dinner. On top of that, breakfast again is extremely good, the choices offered are healthy and delicious. The breakfast cook managed to transform the boring eggs and ham in a great culinary experience we never had before :-) We mark the place as our favorite and will return as soon as we get a chance.
