Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomBeing over 70 yrs, it took a while to get used to the ‘youth hostel’ feel of the hotel with backpackers and cyclists coming and going. However, we really liked the ambiance generally. The layout and design of our room was odd. Withe the hard floor, and the sink beside the bed, we could have been in hospital. Being encased in a greenhouse style enclosure in the corner of the room, the toilet and shower offered no privacy at all.
The Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The location was very good being in walking distance of the centre and the main tourist attractions - as well as the bus and railway station in the other direction.

Good value for money and staff friendly and helpful. Location is excellent - 5-10 min walk to historic centre, pedestrian zone with shops restaurants. Quiet. There is a lift. Good WiFi in room. Air conditioning. Clean functional room in excellent condition. Good bed. Good shower. However room is a tiny cubicle with bathroom integrated in it . A sliding partition separates head of bed from toilet and for shower. Thus there is zero privacy. It’s fine if you travel alone or with an intimate partner but not good if sharing room with friend.

United StatesIt was not clear from the description of this hotel in Booking.com that this is a hipster-type, minimalistic hotel similar to the Marriott Moxy in the United States. There were no drawers, closet, or desk space, surprising for a hotel belonging to the Ibis chain. No place to store dirty clothes if you stay there several nights. There are a few hangers in the wall but you still have to hang most of the towels and clothes on wall mounted round hangers. Registration desk is in the 7th floor within the breakfast area. The hotel is not well insulated since we could hear all night the street noise.
This hotel was comfortable and clean, with polite staff and various facilities including a laundry room and a nice breakfast area. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of healthy options. It is located in a nice neighborhood very close to the Old City Center, just a 5 min walk. It is located about a 5 min walk to the main train station and 10 min walk to the convention center. There is a police station across the street and several cafes in the area. The room was clean and updated, equipped with sufficient towels, soap, shampoo, etc. The bathroom area is small but bigger than most small hotels in Europe.
