I personally prefer a comfortable couch instead of two individual chairs. As a short person my feet don’t adequately reach the ground from a chair and it isn’t relaxing. The name on the sign for the apartment in the village didn’t match the listing so initially we couldn’t find it. No or spotty internet service in our apartment on the lower level. The apartment is up in the mountains - not an easy drive for relative flat-landers like us! But definitely worth it!

First and foremost we liked the hosts, Boris and Susanna. They were friendly, generous with their time, provided historical information, were very helpful when we didn’t plan ahead for our dinner, and fun to talk to. They made us feel at home. Breakfast was excellent. Second, my husband loved the sauna in our room! He was “finally warm”! Third, although we arrived grumpy due to a long day through the Julian Alps and then the unexpected mountain roads to the apartment, we were soon lifted up by the lovely green village with clean air, small village, and country sounds. We changed from regretting the booking to feeling it was the best we’d had! - Although a family with young children was in the apartment above us. we heard nothing. - One room in the building is a small museum about the village and the lifestyle of residents in earlier years. Old photographs showing how the buildings looked prior to restoration were especially great. - There was a plenty of room for young children to run and play safely, a picnic table for eating outside, eggs to collect, and a relaxing location.

The bed was a bit too soft for us. (but it's rather just a question on habits) WiFi could be a bit stronger.

OUTDOOOOOOR :-) Perfect view to the mountains, endless MTB trails, picturesque small river, nature pure. The room was spacious and extremly clean equipped with a set for tea. There were also maps and other infos about the territory. Enormous home-made breakfast, incredibly friendly hosts, who invited us for a self-made dinner. Interesting stories about the surroundings. Great pizza&panna cotta down by the river.

There could be internet but it's not a negative really.

This hidden village at first was not in our plan, but gladly we found this accomodation on booking. The property owner and the caretaker were really nice. They told everything about the history of the house. You can ask for breakfast and dinner as well. We chose the breakfast option. It was really good, almost everything was homemade. I would return again without doubt.

Very unusual style and location. We liked it. In our room we had a sauna, it was great. The surroundings are very beautiful, in the mountains, the views are superb. The host is very friendly.

The hotel is located in a very small and isolated village in the mountains of the Slovenia, allowing us a very different and interesting experience compared to other stays, including a small museum giving a glimpse into the life in the village early last century. Nonetheless, the drive to the village from the main roads is not particularly long or tiring. Stasha the owner greeted us warmly upon arrival and helped with every question. The room was quiet, cozy, and very comfortable. The breakfast that Stasha made for us was excellent, fresh, and local.

If you want a peaceful retreat, surrounded with warm-hearted people, this is the place :) The host makes you feel like home (but not the one you're trying to escape from :) ) If you're into mountain biking, you have a Trail center in the village.
