Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

EstoniaThe beds are a bit small and there isn't that much room inside the room. Besides, there is no elevator so be ready to walk up steep steps. Also, not really related to the accommodation itself but since the city is quite small, be ready to load/unload your car at the nearest Mercator shop REALLY fast, you'd have only up to 30 min free to do it
The friendliest host I've ever seen! Very personal approach and customer-oriented service, you will notice that during your arrival and breakfasts in the beautiful backyard! You can leave the baby stroller or any bulky stuff on the ground floor, if you need to.

GermanySince Piran is car free you can only enter the town with your car for 30 Minutes for unloading luggage and then have to park outside in one of the parking garages. However since you can't reach the B&B with car and there are no parking spaces anywhere nearby we were struggling to find a place to put our car for unloading. After a stressful 15 minutes of navigating the Labyrinth of really narrow and lively streets in search for an temporary parking space we had to leave our car in the middle of an alley and walk from there. Luckily nothing happened and we were able to leave just in time, (also thanks to the help of the very understanding staff and a really fast checkin) but it was quite a stressful arrival. If you have little luggage, definitely just park outside and walk to the B&B!
Beautifully located accomodation in Piran, 1 Minute from the coast. The staff is really nice and helped us during our stressfull arrival. It was very easy to communicate in german and english and they gave lots of tips for parking, eating and spending time in piran. Super helpful and nice! It is located in a small side-alley and a surprisingly quiet location. We even got a bigger room than we booked which was nice. Breakfast was really good. You could choose when you would like to eat in the morning. There are lots of options for food and drinks and fresh coffee/tea, as well as warm croissants are served to the table. The hosts really make you feel at home and the garden outside where you can eat is just stunning! We enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend it to others!

AustriaThe breakfast was incredibly good and prepared with very good vibes and - sorry I do not know the name of the woman who was in charge of the B&B - she was super friendly, gave us perfect recommendations, where to go and what to see. The B&B has a very good location in the city center. You have to park in a certain distance (some 100 m away) but that is very normal in Piran. The room was not large but very clean and had everything what we needed. So we were super-happy with everything.

HungaryOf course the rooms are a bit small but almost every rooms in Piran are small due to the smallish and crowded architecture of the city.
Everything was fine, the breakfast as well. I left one of my stuff there and they sent me it to home. Much appreciated!

DenmarkNothing - but tip could be: Make it possible to buy cold softdriks and water in the evening. It is not a problem , while you can boy it around the corner.- so it is just to make it more convenient for the guests and optimize the income for the BB.
As soon as you arrive, you feel you are welcome. Very helpful staff in the reception - good guidens about Piran in general. Good beds, good A/C and very fine renovated rooms. The highlight is the breakfast in the small cozy garden.
