Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe staff again. Cleaning staff seem to have a track record of entering guests' rooms even when a "do not disturb" sign is hanging outside (see past reviews). I was livid on my return on the first day to see that my room had been entered in what looked like a scouting mission - sections of the room were left uncleaned, dishes had food residue left on them, but all my personal belongings had been meticulously moved around, including items in my luggage which I'd left open as I was only expecting to nip out rather than stay out for longer. After I raised the issue, someone then placed a card in the middle of my room the next day which clearly had not been slid in through the door - I reached out to guest services again which invited the supervisor's visit. What I brought with me was certainly by no means exceedingly valuable but this made me feel concerned about the lack of security in the room, even if the property is soldiered up with dozens of security cameras. My email to the Fraser contact address remains unanswered.
The residence itself is very well-maintained and in a great location but it's the staff really make the place. The ones I met were gentle, polite and professional, which I understand may be rare! A shoutout to Adam and Ram who were lovely. I spent my childhood in sgp and the combination of staff and surroundings took me back to those days when things were calmer and less hurried...and then you of course step out into Orchard proper (a c. 4 min walk takes you to one of the MRT exits) and are buffeted by the organised chaos of too many shopping centres, 13(??) MRT exits and crowds charging at top speeds. When I had an issue with the cleaner (see below) the housekeeping supervisor was also very professional in handling which I appreciated. For those for whom lüften is essential, the windows here can actually be opened and which was one of the reasons why I chose this place over somewhere else closer to the CBD where most of my meetings were.

United KingdomNo toaster in the kitchenette, but that’s just habit ! Not really a negative. Had cereal for snacks instead whilst jet lagged and waking up in the middle of the night.
Location was fantastic! Literally less than 5 minutes walk to the MTR and ION Mall. So easy to find. Even my 71 year old mum and my 6 year old managed the short walk. We booked for 6 nights and stayed in the premier studio king apartment. Studio was bigger than expected. The washing machine , fridge freezer and hob all handy. Good quality amenities with Miele brand. The pool was so quiet and jacuzzi was a treat. I looked at so many hotels and studio apartments in Singapore before I chose Fraser Residence and I’m glad we did as we were very comfortable here. Lastly, we didn’t hear any noise from any other residents either which was a plus. Thanks to the friendly , helpful welcoming staff also.

GermanyBreakfast while completely ok was a tad basic at times (use of convenience products like the occasional waffles for example). It was good and we always found something but if one point holds back the Apartment from a perfect 10 it would be the breakfast.
Wonderful Appartement had everything needed. Gorgeous view towards Orchard. Great Pool (suitable for lap swimming).

AustraliaThe tiny kitchenette in the room is very small and have limited storage. It's a challenge to use the sink to wash a glass, because there is too much stuff on the bench. The delicate glass tumblers provided are very easily broken. I'm a clutz with glasses at the best of times. But trying to do anything in that cramped space makes me wonder what they were thinking when designing such a space. On level 18, there are two automated massage chairs near the gym. I've never used one of those before and there was no instruction manual or sign for how to operate them. There are many buttons available but they mostly just beeped at you and did nothing. When I finally got the chair to do something, it started pushing so hard into my lower leg I jumped out, fearing a major bruise (revenge for all the button pushing, perhaps?). The foot massage kind of traps your feet in and then pushes a blunt object hard into the bottom your foot. That's just a recipe for pain. Again I jumped out and didn't go near that machine again. Am I mistaken, or are these torture devices? The pools and jacuzzi are not heated, which can be a little too cold on some days. If you travel with small children, be aware that there are no lifeguards and the larger pool is far from reception. They do have cameras on the pool, but customers do need to keep an eye on your kids at all times.
The bed was very comfortable and room was perfectly adequate for our needs. Having a washing machine/dryer was a bonus. The included breakfast was amazing, thanks to the wonderful staff in the restaurant. There were three cooked options (one American and two Asian breakfasts) as well as a standard buffet with bread, pastries and fruit. The Asian breakfasts were the highlight, because they were different every day and delicious! So we ate everything, as a perfect start to a hard day being a tourist in Singapore. This residence is a short walk to the Orchard MRT and countless shopping centres. We used the MRT to go everywhere, averaging SGD1.20 per trip.
