I've stayed here several times when visiting family in Malmo so l knew what to expect. That's why l came back! I love the library where you can entertain visitors. I love the artwork and history and that the hotel is not part of a chain. The staff are always helpful but discreet.

The ancient hotel is located in the central part. Main attractions in the area. Good and rich breakfast. The room is very spacious and comfortable, the bathroom is well equipped.

The blinds of the windows were lackluster. A lot of light shine in the morning.

The food from the restaurant working with the hotel is not the best. No Swedish cinnamon roll for breakfast.

Location. And staff very very good. I had issue with room service food delivery from a restaurant working with the hotel. The receptionist Ronia ( not sure it's spelt correctly) sorted the issue out quickly and very efficiently.

The old lift is charming but a little impractical.

Such a charming little gem of a hotel lots of quirky features and attention to detail. Obviously it’s not a new building but there are modern adaptations like USB plugs

Street noise was a bit loud with partiers until the wee hours, but it was a weekend after all.

We loved this hotel more than any other place we have stayed. The ambiance, the history, the art collection, the room.. all exceeded our expectations. We didn't want to leave. The location was perfect and breakfast was fabulous. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience?

One of our best stays anywhere. Easy walking from train station, near everything. Amazing history of the hotel, very enjoyable to read the framed descriptions on the hallway walls. Absolutely beautiful library with 24 hr tea. Best breakfast (included), absolutely first rate. I can't imagine anything I would want for breakfast that wasn't there. Friendly counter staff, good English. We arrived in Copenhagen a day before the cruise ship departed because of long flights. Took a chance on taking the train to Malmo rather than staying in Copenhagen. Great choice. Train was so convenient, crossing the bridge beautiful, and Mayfair better and less expensive than Copenhagen. Malmo is a pretty city, great restaurant nearby.

A hotel that cares about the comfort of its guests. Full of fascinating stories from its long history and every wall and corner seems to contain artworks from the owner’s extensive collection of modern art. Fab breakfast with quality ingredients. Helpful and friendly staff.

I can't really find anything negative to mention. Yes of course, it is an old building, but that is part of the charm and it's why we booked it in the first place.

Some of the breakfast food was cold. Could not figure out AC if they have it. Didn't really need it though.

Amazing historic place beautifully decorated and comfortably fitted out. Amazing location. Not sure i have ever stayed at a more perfect place, even places at 10 times the cost. Lots of variety.Buffet of everything you can think of. Well cooked. Excellent tea selection. In a 700+ year old cellar tunnel.

Location was excellent, only 5 minute walk from the central station in Malmo and easy to find. Close to historic centre of Malmo, restuarants etc. Beautiful old building with many historic features and architecture. Breakfast down in the cellar was awesome with so many options to choose from. Lovely old library which has free tea and coffee throughout the day and such a peaceful place to sit and relax. Comfy bed, lovely bathroom, very helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel is in a great location. I stayed at this hotel whilst I was in Sweden for the Eurovision. The hotel was only 2 stops away from the arena, which was perfect. The show ended late and came back to the hotel at around 1 am with no issues. Especially as a female solo traveller I felt safe the whole time. The room was a great size and very clean. Had no faults with it at all. The breakfast was great. Plenty of options are available. The staff were lovely. Check-in was supposed to be 4 pm, but was able to check in early, which was amazing. I can't remember what the lady's name at reception is but she gets a 10/10. :-) I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It’s really more of a large B&B than a true hotel but not a bad thing. Shame they didn’t have their own private restaurant and bar. They lease out space to a third party for catering during day/evening so there is something on site for meals but we chose to eat/drink elsewhere in town instead during our trip, as recommended by the hotel owner.

We asked for a room away from stairs, lift, etc because both of us are light sleepers and whilst initially we were told this might not be possible when we booked, we were given a great room at the end of a corridor which meant no footfall either! It overlooked the inner courtyard and apart from seagulls and the odd late night reveller on the main streets (inevitable when visiting during Eurovision!) we weren’t disturbed. Really pleased and thank you Rhonya on Reception for your help with this. The basement where breakfast is held is stunning and a real asset for the hotel.
