Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBed and room were quite small, the duvet didn't completely cover the bed so had to add another duvet to cover both of us. Asked at reception for larger duvet but told that the one we had are standard size. Pillows were smallest pillows I've ever seen. No temperature control for room. Daughter's room had no window and was too hot giving her dry eyes.
Location was great, very close to Gamla Stan. Breakfast was good.

United KingdomWe were asked if we wanted housekeeping every day which felt awkward. When they did come they they replenished our coffee and cleaned the cups - but didn't make up the beds! Weird.
Breakfast was plentiful. We were apparently 'upgraded' to a room that had the sofa bed made up so that we were shuffling around the thing all the time and had very little space and no sofa to sit on.

United KingdomNo safe in room
Great location and good value for money. Lost a few marks for not having a safe in room. The hotel’s cleaning policy is on demand only, which I’m happy with, but it made getting a refill of coffee a bit more difficult to track down. The best part, by a country mile, is the rooftop bar, with a cracking view of the city. Unbeatable.

United StatesMy husband understood that breakfast went until 10:30 am so one day we came down at 9:25 am. As we were trying to serve ourselves the staff was literally ripping the serving dishes out of our hands. It was a frantic rush to try to get some food as quickly as we could before it was all gone. They were rude and it was unnecessary to take the food out of our hands. Do not be late for breakfast if you stay here!! It is tasty and you don't want to miss out. The front desk staff was super friendly though, just not the breakfast room staff.
Tasty breakfast and location was awesome! Room felt like a dormroom but we didn't come to Stockholm to hang out in our room. Rooftop was cute and when the room was hot, the staff provided us with a fan!

Hong KongThe room is very small with a wall pulldown bed for a twin-share room, not value for money. There was super loud music from the opposite building started from 830pm! It was disturbing when you want to rest after a tired day!
Location near metro station & Old town, very convenient.

AustraliaRooms not being able to be cooled down - too warm for us aussies in summer.
This location is fantastic - a short walk to Gamla Stan and the city. The staff were super helpful - moving us from a room with no windows to one with a window to allow for some air circulation, as we found the rooms quite warm for summer. Drinks on the roof top bar were lovely - great staff and brilliant view. Breakfast was in abundance.

LatviaWhen booking a room, the description clearly stated that the room would have a bathtub, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. However, upon arrival, it turned out that the hotel only has a few rooms with bathtubs, and the room assigned to me only had a shower. When I inquired if it was possible to switch to a room with a bathtub, I was informed that no such rooms were available. This situation was disappointing, as a service was offered that was not actually available. The hotel showed obvious signs of wear and tear, which wasn't what I expected. It was okay for a short stay, but not worth the price I paid. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and the misleading information makes it hard to trust the hotel’s services.
The room was clean and well-maintained, which was a positive start to the stay. The receptionist was not only friendly but also highly professional, making the check-in process smooth and welcoming. The hotel's location was convenient, offering easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Additionally, the breakfast was satisfactory, providing a decent selection of options to start the day. Overall, these aspects contributed positively to the experience.

AustraliaBeing on the highest level without air conditioning, the room got quite hot with no ventilation if you didn’t have the window open and it wasn’t even the peak of Summer. Noisy if you did. The bed was average, but pillows lacked any substance. Little to no bench space in bathroom. They did not clean our room when request had been made at check-in. Towels were provided from Reception when notified, though.
We had a roof-top room with a balcony and sea-view, which was just beautiful. The room was ample for our needs, which had to fit all our motorbike luggage and riding gear. Roof-top bar was great and staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. You had to book your time slot, though this was not heavily enforced. Parking was expensive, but glad to have it available as parking in the area is limited. Convenient to walk to Old Town and any public transport.

CanadaI'd prefer a small fridge in the room, as I had to throw out some food upon arrival. I'd prefer a hot tub over the sauna to unwind and relax. I thought the room itself was rather small and cramped. I thought the bed was kind of stiff.
Breakfast was really diverse and convenient and satisfying. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was convenient being in downtown close to all the attractions.

United StatesThe outside of the building there is so much construction that it’s quite an eyesore and you need to walk only in certain areas. The rooftop lounge is very small and too crowded to sit down for the amount of guests that were there. No herring at breakfast. Twice in the middle of the day the water cooler in the lobby had warm water and was almost completely empty.
The staff was helpful. At the breakfast there was wonderful sprouts and a pair of scissors for the guests to cut the sprouts-very nice touch.. view from the roof top lounge is spectacular.

DenmarkWe had a two person standard room and it was quite small. The window had a wire on so it couldnt open more than 5 centimeters. And there wasn't any air con in the room so the air was not too great. Also the breakfast wasn't as impressive as the reviews said.
The location was excellent and the hotel was in general nice
