Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We really enjoyed our stay. The bed and pillows were very comfy, loved the decor in the hotel and the breakfast was so amazing. We loved the location too and there is a great restaurant around the corner that does great pizzas. Also enjoyed playing games in the bar area.

Terrific little hotel in a cute residential/student neighborhood. Nice interior courtyard, excellent breakfast. Very pleasant front desk staff. Neighborhood has many restaurants, grocery stores and coffee shops. Easy access to downtown with bus #2 or bus #67.

United KingdomA couple of small suggestions: it would be good to add some hooks in the room for bags and to replace the sofa with a fold out sofa bed; my 15 year old son was comfortable but the space could accommodate a pull out bed.
A beautiful hotel with incredible staff who were always cheerful and happy to help. The building and rooms have such character and the contrasting modern decor of the lounge is refreshing. I obviously have to mention the exceptional breakfast. Location also superb for local trams and metro. I can't wait to return!

FinlandEveryone on the staff seemed to be genuinely in a good mood and happy at work ; accomodating and helpful- full points for service. The hotel breakfast was the best in a long time : a very large variety of options, special diets were taken care of and there was newly baked warm bread and croissants available. I appreciated the cake table with sparkling drinks at the end of our breakfast. There was glutenfree delicious cake, too - supernice for me! The location is not in the core core center of the city but I did not mind because the area was nice and quiet; and only a few metro stops from T-Centralen /Arland Expressen. Nearby was a good Lebanese restaurant called Byblos that I also recommend. I liked the interior decorating of the hotel as well. The beds were super comfy, of high quality and great to sleep in.

The breakfast is stellar. It was other people's breakfast reviews that convinced us to stay at Hotel Ruth, and they were not wrong. The room was spacious (bathroom a bit small), the bed very comfortable, the lobby modern yet cozy, the staff were so courteous. I stayed in several hotels during my trip to Sweden, but Hotel Ruth is the one that I remember most clearly and fondly.

AustraliaHotel Ruth is in an historic building. While this is definitely part of its charm, working out how best to cool the rooms after a warm day took a little experimentation. Having said that, being able to open the windows overnight is a huge plus.
A spacious room welcomed us on arrival providing a generous space for 3. The sitting areas downstairs created a sophisticated ambience without compromising on comfort. And the friendly staff added to this. Hotel Ruth provides a great breakfast. Not only does it cover a broad range of options, the quality of the offering was well above expectations.

Very friendly staff, check-in within 1 minute. The room was comfortable and relatively large. the breakfast was very good , with freshly prepared juices, fresh fruit, a large variety of bread etc. The hotel is situated in a quiet street off the main boulevard but close to the underground (3 minutes walk, from there 2 stations to the central train station). the city center (Old city with the royal castle etc.) is at 20 minutes ).
