Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

LatviaIt was a good price place performance taking into account it is Sweeden. I would appreciate it if the lockers were bigger and there would be a place to hang some clothes and dry the towels (e. g. pegs by the long free wall). Because of the room configuration, it is easy to understand why there is no other furniture than bunk beds, but as the common area was always full, it would be nice to have something table-like (e.g. counter by the same wall) and a chair. As there is a policy of no outdoor shoes inside, some furniture to sit on while changing shoes would make the experience more inclusive.
The people on site were friendly community, the location was well connected.

IrelandExtremely clean and well-maintained especially the bathroom in the room. The staffs were so friendly and vibrant, checking up on all of their guests and sitting down with you to have a chat. They’re always ready to extend a hand to help you with anything. Their kitchen was under renovation during my stay but their makeshift kitchen was honestly more than sufficient for me since I wasn’t cooking much.

PortugalHaving a bathroom inside the dorm has its advantages, but there is only one other bathroom in the hostel that you can use which is next to the reception/kitchen area, and you can't shower there. So if you are in a hurry in the morning you may have to wait to use the bathroom to get ready. Would have preferred to have other bathroom options outside the dorm. Also, if you leave your luggage at the hostel after you check-out bear in mind the codes won't work when you come back later to pick them up, and it may be difficult to get in if no one opens the door!
Very well located, just outside the very center of Stockholm. The closest metro station is a 10-minute walk through a lovely park but you also have several bus lines that run on the same street as the hostel. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were cleaned daily. Having free towels is a great plus! For Stockholm standards, it has a great value for the price you pay. Would stay again (:

May not affect all rooms but for us it was unpleasant even with the sprays and air freshener staff orovided when we raised it. Also no freezer on property at all which was an issue for keeping some medication cold.

SwedenIt's always roommates that affects the experience in hostels. Here I've had a few long term staying roommates, and this is the worst kind of people stopping in hostels.
I think that was the best hostel that I've stayed in the Stockholm in terms of facilities - you have very comfy beds and curtains next to each bed. The manager is super friendly and makes everything to help you. But stop is in 50 meters from the entrance. No keys - entrance is via the mobile app, love it!

TurkeyThe staff is kind and helpful. It is very clean. Unlimited coffee and tea. The kitchen is not equipped fully but you have the fridge, airfrier and a microwave. The Hostel is quiet. It is a bit far away from the city Center and the Arlanda Airport.

ItalyThe hostel was, more or less, at full capacity for the entire time of my stay and this was especially noticable in the common space which also functions as a mini kitchen. However, this is only temporary since the main space for this purpose is being put into place so I'm sure that once it's done it will be just as good as the rest of the hostel.
The physical place where you're staying is always just one part of the equation. The staff is as important as the actual room that you're sleeping in. And this is where this hostel excels. Both the hostel manager Marko and the receptionist Tiffany are super friendly and always there to make your life easier.
