Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe bathroom was too small. There is no barrier in the shower, just a curtain so the water was all over the floor whenever we showered. We had to mop it everytime which IMO is quite frustrating.
The staff of the hotel were very nice and friendly. 3 min walk from the nearest station. Great location and clean beds.

FranceDifficult to get in with a stroller. Parts of the room were dusty. Old building so sound isolation is not so good and can be a bit creaky.
Good location, good price for that location. Relatively spacious room. Calm area. Comfy beds. One of the few places that could offer 1 double bed + 1 single bed at affordable rate while in a central location.

Our triple room was comfortable with one double bed and one really good single bed. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The location a minute away from the metro is very convenient.

United KingdomOur room was on the sixth floor and the lift was very slow. Our room was a converted loft and we had to be very careful not to hit our heads. My advice is: book a room on lower floors.
The hotel is situated within walking distance of main tourist attractions. There are shops, cafes, restaurants, tube stations, etc. nearby. Breakfast is included in the price. It is a buffet breakfast and it is very good. Different types of tea and coffee, water are available from machines for free 24h. The machines are situated on the ground floor next to the breakfast room. The rooms are cleaned every day. The beds are comfortable. I would stay again.

FinlandThe rooms are very small and some don't even have a chair or a place to put your belongings. There is no a/c in the room which can be a problem during the summer period. The bathroom in our room was adequately equipped but uncomfortably small - less than 2 m2!
The hotel is located about 1 km from downtown and has excellent public transportation nearby. The building is in fact a 19th century apartment building which has been completely made over, but certain details have been kept; e.g.the breakfast room which is located in the basement with the old stone and brick walls preserved - very rustic and charming. The breakfast itself is outstanding, buffet style and very varied with a few little extras. The staff gave a very professional and helpful impression. The rooms are quiet with very comfortable beds
