Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff went beyond our expectations, what a great service! our luggage was lost by Air France and they followed up every day, sometimes twice a day until it was delivered, Also I forgot my watch after check out and they mailed it to me free of charge to my next Hotel. The room was comfortable and well-decorated. The breakfast buffet is great and includes items like gluten-free bread :) The location is also important to mention since we were able to walk to most of our destinations

United KingdomThe Hotel Rival is a very fun hotel in an excellent part of Stockholm. very close to the metro line but easy to walk into the old part of town as well, and is very close to great restaurants and nightlife. The hotel itself has great sized rooms well decorated, and even though there is a theatre connected to the hotel you couldn't hear it at all! The bar was fantastic for a late night drink, and the breakfast options were some of the best I've ever had

FinlandNothing could have gone better this time but the very first time we stayed the receptionist - a man - was clearly having a bad day. He wasn't exactly rude but he gave the feeling that Rival was not what he had expected. Receptionists provide a firs impression so how you are received by them is really important.
The breakfast was magnificent - my husband and I are breakfast connoisseurs. There was no crowding, no rush, the staff were very attentive - also to our ten year old grandson for whom this was a treat he had looked forward to since two earlier visits

Tried to get their attention a few times (another glass of wine and later the bill) but eventually had to walk to them to get their attention. It was at tuesday evening so 2 staff on and not very busy. Otherwise was food and drinks good, although the Skagen smörgås (big) was very small! so wonder how small a small version would be ..
It's a great hotel and not super expensive - big clean rooms and great bar (with a few swedish celebs!) Also fantastic hats which one can buy in receptions - always surprisingly cold in Stockholm. Good location - the more bohemian/arty part but actually very up market. Charming reception staff which makes you feel special and important.

Denmark*You might experience a bit of noise from the bars/restaurants as the place seems to be very well visited and there is a theater-like venue next to the bar... *The Hotel offers a vallet garage service but at an outragious price. However, we did find an open parking-lot where you could park for more than 24 hrs. and at a rate of SEK 160 per day/night. It was next to the München Bryggeri on the Söder Mälarstrand a 14 minutes stroll from the hotel (via a small stairway). Worked fine for us!
*The location is an easy 15 min. walk into the center - little less to the Metro Station. *The room (a standard one) small but absolutely functional and well fitted. The layout different and awesome. *Nice restaurants and bars with excellent food. *The breakfast was truly great with a huge buffet and eggs/hot dishes cooked to your liking on the spot. *The service was excellent - especially the staff in the reception. *The ambiance of the entire place is awesome. The design art nouveau. *We enjoyed especially being able to sit outdoors to dine and wine.
