Great location, great breakfast and great food!

As other reviews mention, you will have a little bit of an uphill walk to get back every day if you aren’t using a car. But the location is very central to the village, and ideal for pick-up points with many tour services. I found it to be a nice bit of physical activity at the end of every day, and my kid didn’t have any complaints.

I stayed during the summer for a half-week vacation with my 12-year-old son. We opted for Granen because it seemed to offer good value compared to similar alternatives, but with better quality breakfast and generally more well-maintained facilities. The breakfast was excellent: few surprises for Scandinavian lodgings, but great quality and presentation. Our room was quite simple, but good condition, and we were able to get extras as needed upon request (water cooker in the room, access to microwave, etc.). I also greatly appreciated use of their baggage room, sauna, and showers on our check-out day. We were able to return from a day-long rafting trip for some rest and recovery before catching our night train back home. All the staff were also exceptionally helpful and friendly both for me and my kid.

maybe something welcoming for a pets

location is perfect, downhill 10 minutes and you are in center, breakfast is amazing, rooms are nice, clean and comfy. Staff is super and restaurant is great, food was so good. wifi worked without problem. there is enough parking and charging places for EV.

The 2 first nights we had neighbors in the room above us and they made a lot of noise through the night. The part of the hotel we were in wasn’t so good isolated for the noise.

Because we were there during the period when it remained light at night, they could provide better blackout. Such as blackout shutters or curtains. I had to sleep with an eye mask on.

The location of the hotel was perfect, just a 5 minute walk to the center of town. We received a very warm welcome. As we arrived in low season we were given a free room upgrade. The breakfast was wonderful; fresh fruit daily with lots of choice. Also very important; great coffee! 😉. The staff was wonderfully friendly and - like all Swedish people - spoke perfect English. Very easy to communicate. The restaurant was also good to stay for dinner; excellent meals and wines.

If anything, it would maybe just be nice to have some plugs next to the bed and a bigger window.

Lovely hotel, in the chalet style with wood and fire places everywhere. We were warmly welcomed by the people at the reception and the food at the restaurant was awesome (both breakfast and dinner). Last but not least, the sauna was a big plus.

To be honest the whole experience was fantastic, 0 complaints.

First of all the service is excellent, everyone that attended us in the desk was super professional and nice. All the facilities are very clean, in particular the storage for the skiing gear, normally it gets dirty pretty fast but they managed to keep it extemely clean through out the day. This room and after ski changing rooms are great. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of different options.

Our stay at this hotel was an extremely pleasurable experience. Very helpful staff and comfortable accommodation. The highlight for us was the breakfast. The range and freshness of the food was very good, and the ambience of the breakfast room delightful.

The hotel is located halfway a very steep hill. Getting there without a car from the village center involves a walk up the hill. Even though this is a short walk, about 150m, it is quite intensive especially when carrying ski gear.

It’s a very nice classic building with large rooms and spaces. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of dishes and drinks. The location is at walking distance from the village center and from the ski slopes.
