Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe buffet was a little boring, same thing everyday. The eggs tasted like powdered eggs, I took one bite and didn’t have again for the rest of the stay. Also was surprised by no drawers in our room to put the clothes away.
We ate two dinner meals and they were both fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I could understand the management of this hotel doesn't want to change this "mistake" (to attract more people), just beware that there would be some "disappointed" reviews here as a result of people expecting 4-star hotel and not getting that at the end of the day.

NorwayDespite two people travelling, we were provided with two single beds (on wheels) pushed together. We resorted to taking off the mattresses and sleeping on the floor. To add to our poor experience, the 24 deg C temperature at night, with no fans or AC, made for a less-than-pleasant night's sleep. There was a mess with the reservation. So, we had to leave 24 hours before anticipated.
The location was really convenient.

FinlandAs the building is quite dated there was no air conditioning in the room. On the very hot sunny days with our room facing the sun all day it was very hot. Opening the window for the night did help a little, though.
Great hotel for anyone visiting the nearby sports facilities. Good and versatile breakfast. Breakfast starts already at 6 am which is excellent as sports events often start early in the morning. Vegan options much appreciated. A number of sports facilities and a hypermarket within a short walking distance. Also a beautiful park close by.

IrelandThe pillows are horrific and they only give one. They are small, soft with zero support and the stuffing is all disintegrated and in pieces. The most uncomfortable pillows ever. Windows don't open and no air con so rooms are baking hot and stuffy There are sea gulls living around the hotel which are very loud in the morning

The hotel restaurant unexpectedly closed early the evening we due to work commitments had to eat dinner at the hotel (and the only nearby restaurant was a Burger King...).

United KingdomOverall the hotel looks a little dated and could do with some decorating. The corridor carpets had a lot of stains. Only one pillow provided which was kinda flat. Shower was strange and it was very easy to soak the entire floor by accident.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Bus stop 2mins away and rooms were clean and tidy. Reception area was nice and had free water and coffee.

NetherlandsBetter? Maybe the bedding, which was almost too warm for me. Other than that: nothing really. Ah maybe a chair to sit in. Since I didn't stay in the room much, it was alright for me with just the built in bench.
Breakfast was included and was wide in things to choose from. From warm food (scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon) to different kinds of bread and yoghurts. There was also a gluten free section. The room with double beds was spacious and had enough room that 1 people would still enjoy the space, the view from the 7th floor was a busy road, however I never had any problems with traffic noise or noises of other guests. The bathroom was clean, and just a bit outdated, but lacking nothing except for maybe a smaller shaving mirror (which I didn't need). I choose this hotel because of the location of the seminary in a close by facility.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and efficient (so efficient in the restaurant that I went to refill my tea and they cleared my tray, with the room key on it! 😂). Room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the shower was really good.
