Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

LuxembourgAsking almost 10 € for the bedsheets (in adddition to the price already paid) is a theft. The room is neither so clean nor comfortable, very tiny and with no natural light.
The location, right in the city center of Stockholm Old Town. The staff at the reception was nice.

CanadaThe ONLY THING I WOULD SAY WAS ACTUALLY BAD is that right before I did my check-out of the room, I noticed that the cleaning lady DIDN’T change the sheets, she made the bed with the same sheets that were used (the room was full right before) which is really disappointing because when you do your check-in they make you pay 100kr for the sheets… so basically they make you pay to get dirty sheets??? And I clearly saw how she sprayed some product on the top and that’s it, like she didn’t even shake the sheets or anything, she just place them back :/
The staff was really friendly, polite and helpful! The hostel itself needs some love around… mainly kitchen and TV room. The room was ok, but also needs some love, like some curtains would be nice for each bed… also, the location is great!

EstoniaThe ceilings were very low in some areas, if you're over 5'8 there are some parts of the accomodation that requires you to either duck your head or move to somewhere else. The male's toilets were out of use, as were half the general use toilets near the reception, the one that was available was rather cramped with a washer/drier in the room with it. Other guests elected to play football around midnight in the corridor, which was definitely a first.
Location was right in the middle of the city on the central island, not too far to walk to any transport links and about 5 minutes walk from the palace. As it's underground, you can pretend to be Batman!

BulgariaI didn’t like that the bed sheets are extra paid and you need to put them on yourself , I have been to different hostels and that was the first time I had to pay extra for sheets. bathrooms and toilet wasn’t very pleasant. it was cold in the room and the house.

NetherlandsI would not go there if I were traveling alone. There are some weird people walking around and there is little privacy in the bathroom and showers. It was fine for us because we were staying with friend in one room but I would not want to share with some of the people there. Also the kitchen and living room felt quite shady.
The location is amazing and it is good quality for what you pay. It was quiet in the night.

CroatiaThe hostel infrstucture is not in very good condition. The bathroom looked like it wasnt cleaned in a while. The rooms are small a crowded and the matterace the cheapest from Ikea and very soft.
The location is the biggest advatage to this hostel. The old town with lits of nice things to see and shops and cafes. The receptionist was polite and let us keep our stuff in the reception for few hours after check out.
