Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesEach six person dorm has only one cubicle bathroom where the shower, toilet, and sink are located. Not a huge issue, but it was necessary to wait a while several times to use the bathroom or sink because someone was taking a long shower.
Fantastic location, super quick walk to the central station which was really nice for a late arrival and early departure, there were also cafes and restaurants in the area. Very friendly staff

PortugalThere are no shutters in the bedrooms. Because in the summer there is no actual evening (it’s “darker” for 3h - 23:00 to 2am, but it’s never actually night/dark), and I didn’t bring a blindfold, I couldn’t sleep at all - the curtains didn’t really shut the sunlight and there were no electronic blinders/shutters.
It’s extremely central and easy to get to. The quality of the accommodation - everything looks brand new and the decorations were very nice! And upon arrival the room they gave me had not been clean, so an amazing upgrade was provided immediately! Also noise cancelling is fabulous, couldn’t hear a thing! Also great and cheap locker space.

Singapore(1) The lift. There are many rooms (& guests) on each floor & so it took a long time to come. Sometimes it passes our floor. (2) Light in the bathroom goes off very quickly. Need to fling arms to get the light back on.

GeorgiaThin walls. There were some folks having fun and I was able to hear the music as well. Breakfast it 50-50 thing, either it’s enough for or not. It’s not a buffet styled breakfast.
The atmosphere is very good, the staff is very friendly and does its job. The room was good, with interesting looking bathroom, it looked like the bathroom was a separate cabin. For my taste, it was kinda small, but overall should be fine. The bed was also good, ventilation worked properly. Chief cooked very well!
